A lot of people also don't realize that the 10 points UGA gave up to App State were all in the 4th quarter against the 3 and 4 teamers (some 2nd teamers in there too, but not many) and those points were off of 2 Brice Ramsey interceptions.

forgot the most important stat.
1. Vandy + Ole miss
2. Miss State + UT.
Auburn is not any better with Mizzou + Miss State but at least we played Top 5 Clemson and held them to 14 points. Neither of you has played a top 25 team yet.

Notre Dame is still ranked

We are rotating 7 or 8 guys right now on defensive line and many are very disruptive which is allowing our LBs to make plays (who are also extremely talented). We've got a pretty good secondary too but our front 7 is making them look elite because of the pass rush they are applying.
In the Richt years Trent Thompson's 3-4 week injury would have been devastating for our defense but under Kirby there is no need to fear.

Schedule, schedule, schedule.

That damn Colorado State game is killing our numbers.

Kirby has that defense dialed in. They look like Bama. They tackle in space like Bama. I'd be pretty pleased if I were a UGA fan.
We are evry pleased. Instead of trying to get ESPN Highlight hits the defense is wrapping up and actually tackling. Novelty for college football today.

30% of the points Bama has given up this season came in the 4th quarter against Colorado State.
And no, they haven't really played anybody yet...and I don't really expect them to any time soon.

Agreed. This strong start by Bama's defense is likely just a scheduling fluke. They will probably regress to their mean of the last few years once they start playing some real teams.

Ummmm....yes, we have. FSU was #3, miss. State was #17 and ND was #24

Both teams numbers should regress a bit as the season wears on and injuries take their toll, as well as the schedule.

Bama played FSU when they still had a very good starting QB. No one can help that Jimbo kept him in the game long after the outcome was determined. They kept him under constant pressure all night and pretty much shut them down. Can't fault Bama for crushing them out of the gate on national TV.

Alabama has already got the injury bug. Both OLBs out for the year. D. Hand out for 3 weeks. Our CB/PR Diggs got hurt too.

MAN! I didn't know!
But, in fairness, you probably just plugged another 4 or 5* in their place. Tough, huh?

He was talking solely about P5 opponents

They are just going to shred the rest of the conference.
Except for UGA. They will somehow inexplicably lose 1 game somewhere.
Should be a good title game though.
