Should we have playoffs or bowl games?

Saban was quoted today saying that he would like college football to either have a playoff or bowl games. He says the four team playoff overshadowed the other bowls and one of the great parts of college football is the gratification the players receive come bowl time.
So would you rather see the bowl games be done away with a extend the playoffs to a field of eight or keep it how it is now?

Reduce the amount of bowl games and keep the playoffs. They're overshadowed by the number of bowls, not the playoffs.

frick the bowls. Nobody should be rewarded for finishing at or barely above .500.
Saban just doesn't like the playoffs because it's more chances for his team to get exposed.

Saban gets beat by Auburn = offseason narrative becomes HUNH is bad for football. Saban gets beat in 1st round of playoff by OSU = offseason narrative becomes playoff is bad for football. I'm far from the typical Saban obsessed LSU fan but I can't help but think he's doing this on purpose. I just can't understand why.

Yesterday but okay, bowls. Four team and bowls is okay but beyond four, screw playoffs.

The number of bowls is fine with me. It just means I get to watch more football. Yeah, most of the matchups are crap, but even bad football is better than no football.

I don't mind bowls, I just hated that "bcs bowl" shite where we pretended being in Fiesta Bowl was ALWAYS better than being in the Cotton Bowl, or Peach Bowl. Just because it was a BCS bowl.
They tried to have non-playoff "Playoff" games to keep the BCS bowl feel around. Those need to tank.

They need to expand the playoffs ... I still think incorporate the power 5 CCGS (YES THE B12 MUST HAVE ONE). And also 3 at large games same weekend .. you then advance to 8 the next week. and on to CFP as is.... but bowls games are not going anywhere , its more about the extra practice time for the next year. doesn't matter the games are good or lousy.

Saban does not like the four team playoffs. Shocking. He knows the media hype will not give Bama match ups like games against an overrated ND or mulligan games.
