State is the only one. The other one is just a dumpster fire.

State has an all time losing record in football. They have a winning all time record against 1 sec school. Get off your high horse.

How quickly you forget losing to the Maine black bears.

I think the more legitimate question is, should MS have any schools in the SEC?

It's a good thing for the rest of us that they do.

Is it the Ole Miss fake National championships. Or the SEC Championships where you didn't even play Alabama that make Ole Miss the worthy SEC team?

Ole Miss has lost to a FCS team more recently than State has. People forget that.

Of the original SEC (at least 50/60's) all states other than Florida and Kentucky had two programs:
Alabamistan & Auburn
Vandy & Tennessee
Miss St and Ole Miss
Georgia and Georgia Tech
LSU and Tulane
Kentucky
Florida

Of course, Arkansas, S Carolina, aTm and Missouri were wedded to other partner..
So, as a hog, you should shut your pie hole...

You had to go way back for Maine. That was when Croom was HC. All you had to do was go back about 5 months and said S. Alabama. I could go back when Ole Miss was 2-10 and 0fer in conference but Ole Miss is dumpster fire now. So, why bother.

Correct answer. Mississippi may be small in population size but they produce a lot of talent. If the high schools start hiring legitimate coaches... watch out.

Mississippi gets a bad wrap and sometimes we deserve it, I'll have to admit. Then just about the time I think we have no hope of ever being anywhere but the bottom, the state of Arkansas comes forth and totally bails us out. (not really referring to just sports)

Wrong again, Bear. You people can't get your facts right on anything. State is 549-532 all-time on the field. We also have winning records vs. Kentucky and Vandy, and we are dead even vs A&M. Go cheat or something.

You might check your sources. Just a cursory Google search has you at a sweet .490 winning percentage. Are you adjusting for vacated wins?

Tons of high school talent just zero coaching in MS.
