Should the SEC trade Missouri for Georgia Tech?

No offense to Missouri, but I just don't feel Missouri is a traditional opponent for any teams in the SEC east.

However, Georgia Tech has had long rivalries in the past with Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Auburn, and Alabama.

And of course, their biggest rival is Georgia.

When Georgia wins the SEC east, it always seems like an annoyance to have to play Tech before the SEC championship game.

The biggest rivalry game shouldn't be an annoyance. The conference title should be on the line.

Since Tech left the SEC, the Florida and Auburn games have usurped them as important rivalry games.

It shouldn't be that way.

No for two reasons:

1) Bobby Dodd wussed out because he didn't like Bear Bryant's dirty recruiting. Let them flounder in the ACC.

2) I don't want to face a veer option once per year.

Georgia would never allow it.

Just like South Carolina would never allow Clemson or Florida allow Florida St.

I understand wanting a team gone that has won 2 of the last 3 SEC east championships. Makes it easier for your team.

No. frick Tech they left the conference.

What the SEC needs to do is kick out Kentucky, Mississippi State, and Missouri.
Then add Texas, Oklahoma, Duke, North Carolina, and Virginia.

SEC has the Atlanta TV market already. What do they gain by dropping St Louis?

So we should kick out AM and Arkansas because they don't have any natural enemies in the East. I guess USCe should be kicked out as well sense they have none in the West

I understand why these schools wouldn't want their own respective rivals in the SEC, however do you know if these schools (UGA, South Carolina, Florida) have certain entitlements to usurp the remaining SEC schools?

I was under the impression it took some sort of conference vote to add additional teams.

Could Florida live with adding Miami?

Could we screw over Texas by adding Houston?

You can always play them at the beginning of the season.

So you would drop three states to pick up three states you already have teams in.

You are inspiring sir. Someone as profoundly stupid as you figured out how to use the computer.

Let us know how negotiations go for your new TV deal that the SEC will be forced to make. You idiot frick.

More likely to expand than switch out teams.

Hell yeah; bring back an old member. They need to get rid of Paul Johnson and modernize first though.

And wasn't Mizzou supposed to be a power here for basketball? Granted they've made the Elite 8 five times, but have never reached a Final Four. Georgia Tech has been to the Elite 8 four times, has reached the Final Four twice, and was recently a runner up back in 2004.

We're 4-1 against Missouri, it'd be tough to make our schedule easier by replacing them.
