Orlando Florida and it aint even debatable. You have all kinds of entertainment in O Town, Mickey, Universal, Sea World vs F'ing BHam with its worn out facade...really SEC? Really?

I lived for six months in BHam after transferring from Pensacola with a great company that laid $$$ at my feet and I visited Tuscaloosa....because the managing partner was always inviting me to the fricking country club...it was right out of the 1950s and this was 1983ish...the country club did it right and you were waited on hand & foot.
They begged me to stay when I gave them notice, I just couldnt live in that forsaken sad town, it had huge unemployment back then and nothing there. I got freebies to Legion Field and I remember watching Boston College and Flutie beat Bama as I recall...that place was a dump & a half. I couldnt go back to Pensacola and lose the $$...so I left...managing partner asked me for my mailing address in Tampa and addressed 10 envelopes for severance pay and kept sending me checks every week. My dad thought I was insane leaving that job... just too much Gator in me.

It's not going to move ever and why should it. It is in the epicenter of college football and it is and has always been fair. Where were they before Saban if there is any dishonesty? We sucked for 15 years and got no help so to think there is bias is just a losers excuse for sucking football arse.

All of you pussies need to get use to losing until Saban leave Tuscaloosa.

Deal with it.

I dont give a ratz azz about Bama winning and the location of the SEC office...Im just talking about the good sense to place it where out of state visitors can be entertained and see the sights and sounds of something great...not that gray dirty city in BHAM. Orlando is ESPN land where they do have a lot of studios and the media is a big part of the game.
Get Slive retired and get some young blood with vision to increase what Slive and others have started. Atlanta would be the only other choice as second.

Bama was too bad at that time for the cheating to make a difference. They know not to help cheat if it won't matter. Come on man. Get with the program.

In fact, at every REC meeting I've ever attended or heard of, if a Bama coach is there he emphasizes (repeatedly) something along the lines of "be a fan only. we don't need your help recruiting."

Yeah...... In the Corps at A&M, we had a saying: The upperclassmen don't want to know what they want to know goes on.

Its the same in every group of 'good ol boys'.

Bama is just as good at it as any old SWC school. Why do you LSU fans think A&M and Bama both were favorite schools of the Bear?

I've never seen anything bad happen from conference headquarters moving. I support.

I don't really care if the headquarters moved but your reasons for wanting it to move are stupid. The local attractions (or lack thereof) should have absolutely nothing to do with the location of a conference's headquarters. As for your trashing of Birmingham, you last spent meaningful time there in 1983 or thirty frickin years ago. Needless to say the area has changed dramatically since then. That's like trying to suggest that Orlando and the area theme parks haven't changed any since 1983.

Where you wanna move it? Moscow?

It's done pretty well where it's at now. We're only the most powerful conference ever.

And just as a side note, you can put it in the middle of Oxford, Mississippi and we're still gonna whip your arse.

It's obvious. Destin, FL would be the ideal location! Plus, no one would mind traveling there.
That's not a bad idea.

I live in Alabama, so I'm a little biased about the location. That said, the SEC offices did used to be located in Jackson, Mississippi from 1940-48. With two new schools recently added west of the Mississippi River, it would probably be slightly more centrally located in Jackson than Birmingham.

It's an office building. It's where people work. Who wants to watch people work?
