As a complete aside and bit of trivia, I plugged the locations of the various universities within the conference into a map plotter, and discovered that the geograpical center of the SEC is just southwest of Haleyville, Alabama, just east of Marion County Hwy 19, just at the southern edge of a small clearing in a copse of woods. The New Hope Baptist Church off Hwy 129 looks to be the closest business/sight on google.

I have heard many times that all of Mike Slive's Country Club buddies all graduated from Alabama. The same is true for other upper level executives at the SEC office.

You think the people who golf with Slive, workout with Slive, eat with Slive, play poker with Slive, have any influence on Slive?

The other 13 SEC schools ought to just bend over and take it because Alabama is making fools out of all of them.

Should be moved out of Birmingham. Doesn't matter where, but I'd be willing to bet that Bammer fans would be throwing a fit if it were in BR or College Station

Alabama is in Tuscaloosa. Tuscaloosa is not Birmingham.

I'll grant you the proximity, but it's not like the SEC office is in a college town.

Why is it people only assume bias toward one of the two teams in the same state as the SEC offices?

Because a team from the state of Alabama has won the national championship four seasons running now.

Obvious conspiracy is obvious.

Right.....Alabama is getting all of the breaks like just a few years ago just about everyone had an open date before they played Alabama and I almost forgot about the way the SEC office and Mike Slive handled the Cam Newton investigation....sure am glad Alabama got away with that one and when Ole Roid Kramer was heading it up boy Oh boy Alabama got away with murder....you idiots are right the office needs to move out of Bham.....What was I thinking????

I don't care where it is, and I'm not sure why anyone else does.

It's not like the REC runs the SEC offices, contrary to what some of you nutjobs might think.

I wish I could get her some info. I run a Ear/Thumb STD support group.

Phone sex and Sexting are the greatest threat to the youth these days.

When you win 3 out of 4 NCs you don't sweat the insignificant things so I doubt it.
