Should the Playoff Committee keep Ole Miss at #4 out of respect to Treadwell?

This could very well be an excellent opportunity for the committee to showcase their influence in the college football landscape and utilize it for the good of the game.
Treadwell's injury was absolutely gut wrenching and the game should've ended differently.

Invite the whole Ole Miss team to Atlanta and the national title game and give them a trophy for not winning the SEC west!

This is football, not futbol, pussy.

Do you think Ole Miss is the #4 team in the country without Treadwell?
If they keep them there "out of respect"- everyone else who beats Ole Miss only gets an inflated ranking due to them being ranked where they shouldn't be.

Correct, that sh*t was real, in futbol, it would have been a flop just before the hit.

Sure...as well as place UF in a BCS bowl game last year when our team was decimated by injuries and we were playing 3rd string qb, walk on LBer and had AA DT out after third game.
Hint...Ole Miss just isn't THAT good.

While they are at it I think they should go back and retroactively give Bama the 2005 title out of respect for Prothro.

respect for a player that was injured during a football game? I feel bad that he was injured but how do you even rationalize this thought in your head? Much less post it on the internet..

Beautiful thread. It's amazing how many people miss this kind of sarcasm.
That being said, I would like to go on record with this obligatory statement: I was horrified to see Treadwell's injury and my heart goes out to him and the Ole Miss family for this unfortunate event. God Bless America.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe the Prothro or Drake injury occured at a crucial, game-changing moment.
In fact, an injury of this magnitude in such a crucial, game-changing moment has never happened in the history of college football. The outcome was fraudulent.
That's why this case is different and should be treated as so.
