Focus solely on reviving your basketball program for the betterment of the conference.

Nope. We've clearly stolen their thunder there.

Tennessee fans seem to be furious with Mizzou and it's clear they want to start a rivalry with us.

Can you cite any objective proof of that? Which Tennessee fans?

To me you are just another Kentucky so far.

Seems to me that there are a couple of factors that drive rivalries:

1. Proximity. Tn/Bammer, Auburn/Bammer, Florida/Florida State. Ole Miss/Ms. State. UGA/Ga Tech. Many others. Along with:

2. Having your seasons whacked consistently. UT/UF. UT/Bammer (not to belabor a point) Michigan/Ohio State; many others.

UT and UF hardly played at all from 1940-80. At one point UT was 11-2. This proved to be ephemeral.

So UT and Mizzou? You might wish but. -- Nuh uh. And it couldn't develop until there was considerable history.

You know who DOESN'T have a rivalry? Tennessee and Texas.

They have never played each other.

Mizzou barely has a winning percentage all time.

If you were going to give the US an enema, Tennessee would be the place to start.

Ya know what, no, GFY. You can talk trash about those hillbilly idiots any time you want, but you need to realize that's almost exclusively the hills of TN. Knoxville is conveniently right in the middle of them. As far as Nashville and the surrounding areas are concerned, it's some of the nicest areas in the US. Stupid freaking Yankees and your generalizations!

(Also, sorry for not actually being riled up, but I felt like playing along.)
