This topic always gets lost on the scoreboard forum.
He should have retired 2 years ago.
Yes I appreciate his contributions to Gameday.
But keeping him around in a ceremonious fashion is hurtful to his coworkers that have to awkwardly chuckle and appease his presence.
Keeping him around also prevents the next generation from coming in and making new schticks and traditions.

I think you need a bigger personality than Miles. I would say spur but he is also really old.

He is a CFB treasure and should be allowed to stay as long as he wants. His cohorts seem to have a great affinity for him and don't mind helping him out when he gets stuck.

He's become a caricature of himself.
The 'not so fast' schtick was something he use to say 2 or 3 times a broadcast, now he begins every sentence with it, while his colleagues chuckle forcibly and awkwardly. Even when he's going to agree with the panelist, he still does the not so fast.
Ive been watching him on gameday for literally 20 years, I've watched the slow decline, it is painful as a veiwer. And with competition from SEC, he needs to go, and be a guest picker perhaps.

Not until Dick Vitale goes first.

God bless him, Lee is really starting to show his age and frailty. He should leave while he has some dignity intact. Continue to hang around and have those blank moments when his faculties fail him is just cruel and embarrassing for everyone.

I hope it's 10 more years.

He has earned the right to stay. Dropping the F bomb on camera to s proof that he should stay.
Verne was worse at doing his job, wouldn't you say? I don't think Lee is at Verne's level yet.

Should have hung it up after that stroke. Dude is hard to watch.

Hell no!
He should stay until he dies.

I would say Verne's mistakes were more easily overlookable, especially with Gary by his side. I love Verne, but he retired one year too late. Corso could retire today and it would be two years too late.

A friend of mine's son ran into him in the hotel hallway at the FSU-Alabama game.

Corso's stroke came right as ESPN was starting to get heavily into their "look how virtuous and noble we are" phase. I thought at the time, and I still think now, that the powers-that-be there look at every year they can keep a clearly struggling post-stroke Corso on the air as a feather in their cap. It isn't that he just isn't as entertaining as he used to be. He actively hurts the show because he can barely speak sometimes, and I really feel badly for him every time I watch him struggle through a segment. I've always been a fan of his, but it's time for him to move on.
