Should have paid Herman. Might lose Aranda because of it

Could have kept Aranda easily, and our offense would have been better. We took a gamble keeping coach O and "hoping" to keep Aranda, and pick up Kiffin. We might lose out on all 3 battles. Way to go Alleva

Yeah Herman wasn't coming. LSU did it the way they did it because they didn't want to be someone's second choice.

Go ahead and live the Coach O dream. No way Herman keeps his cool for three years in Austin. He'll be in a screaming match with the Austin American Statesman like he was in a screaming match with the Houston media. More eyes on a tsip coach than a Cougar High coach.
Coach O fans will have reality hit them in the face in about a year and a half.
Both schools have been played by agent Jimmy Sexton.
Doesn't he live in Alabama?

I always thought Herman was a risk, but I am still shocked they did not shower Jimbo with money for both him and his assistants. He could have been scary good at LSU.

I think Alleva did the right thing at least where Herman is concerned. Texas was where Herman wanted to be...they were trying to play LSU to get more money from Texas, but Alleva was smart enough to see that he was being played.

If Orgeron was LSU's best option, I don't know why they didn't just promote Aranda. Did Alleva even give Aranda an interview for the HC position?
