Should Georgia have recruited a QB for depth?

Georgia's got 4 qbs on the roster now, including a redshirt freshmen walk-on.

They didn't recruit a qb this year because they have a commitment from the number 1 qb recruit in the nation next year.

Should Georgia have recruited a qb anyway for depth?

I thought maybe they should.

They can slightly reduce the odds of injury by running the wild dawg every now and then. They can probably move the ball against bad defenses without even using a qb.

I'm not a fan of these "wild dawg" or "wild cat" offenses but in these situations when qb depth is dodgy, they can prove useful.

No. We already have 2 QBs that are battling for the job and our 3rd stringer has a little game experience. If you're playing your 3rd QB you're already fricked anyway (yeah obviously OSU, they are clearly the exception).

We have the #1 QB in america coming in next year so no, we should not have recruited a QB.

Why? Only 2 are gonna play , unless we have a situation like Ohio St were 2 qbs have season ending injuries, we should be fine.

No - good move by Richt. You have plenty of depth and just signing a guy to sign a guy is dumb.

Behind the three current scholarship guys, we have two preferred walk-ons in Sam Vaughn and, now, Nick Robinson. We're fine.

IMO they played it exactly right by getting a relatively highly recruited player as a walk-on. Provides depth and doesn't cost them anything.

Not to mention if you got down to 3rd string, there is probably a former HS QB athlete on the team that could provide depth and, probably, a higher play making ceiling a la Anquon Bolden at FSU than some scrub walk-on. Did the right thing IMO.

Nah... Ohio State situations shouldn't be considered as normal. Eason is the real deal. putting a potential 4 year starter and gamechanger in jeopardy by recruiting other QB's would be dumb.
