Great plays by both teams, great pitching, longest SEC tournament game ever. I really expect to see both teams in CWS this year so I am not talking too much shite here and they nExt one may bE the big game. However, clearly you pissed off the Rally Possum with that damn Rice Owl, and he responded with that DP in the 11th. Dont piss off the possum.

Nobody from Florida was watching. They have a half full stadium for Regional games in Gainesville.

That was one hell of a game. 2 great teams, refusing to lose.
Still can't believe we got out of that bases loaded situation.

Yeah it took the luck of the voodoo possum to get out of that. I thought LSU was dead and buried there. Bases loaded, bottom of final inning, no outs, number one team at the plate??

Good game LSU.

Wish the umpires wouldn't have shafted them all game but that's just part of the game. That run for Florida in the bottom of the 9th is the game winner if the correct call is made on the play at the plate earlier in the game.

But you simply can't not take advantage of bases loaded and nobody out. You don't deserve to win when that happens. Hopefully Florida can bounce back and make quick work of Bama and get some rest for Friday.

Good game Tigers, we'll be seeing y'all again soon

dude is bitching about a play at the plate where his catcher illegally blocked the plate and should have been thrown out of the game. it was so bad the announcers even brought it up, twice.

if anything they got lucky on that call.

If the runner would've been correctly called out, the score would've been 2-2 going into the 9th inning. Instead, it was 3-2. Florida scores in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game at 3. It would've been a walk off basehit if the correct call was made. Instead, it was just a game-tying hit.

Frustrating from the perspective that Florida should have won, but it hurts even more because of the arms we had to burn in extra innings

Umps were shitty for both sides. It is what it is. Florida caught a break and LSU caught a break. Evens out.

UF is just about to start its annual choke in Omaha parade again. I don't even know why I think every UF baseball season is any different.

Well he was correctly called safe. Again Florida got the break on that play not lsu. And yeah you got gifted a run in the 9th. If we don't drop a fly ball it doesnt even go 14.

Unreal you would complain about a play where YOU got the break.

I think my comment was pretty positive. The bad call was frustrating, but it was a great game and I hope that we'll see y'all later in this tournament.

I don't know what the swamp has to do with a baseball game, but if you're coming to Gainesville I'll be more than happy for you to join our tailgate and get some good food before the game.

The umpire didn't call him safe because of blocking the plate. He called him safe when he was out. Blocking the plate is a baseball play, especially in that situation. The umpire missed the call. The stakes are too high to miss calls that are that obvious.

wrong. it's illegal in college. dude if you dont even know the rules of college baseball you arent worth my time.

Also it was a bang bang play, he wasn't definitively out. and he would have been easily safe had your catcher not made an illegal play.

bitching about a play where your player was lucky to not get thrown out of the game is the epitome of sour grapes.

Hate to break it to you chief, but you may want to check the bracket schedule because even if you beat Bama today, your most certainly having to play Friday as well just to get the chance to play Saturday. That's why winning Wednesday and Thursday is so important because it's the only way you get the day off Friday. Plus you have to play at 1 pm today after playing till 2 am last night instead of resting all day till 8 pm tonight like the Tigers get to enjoy.

It's not sour grapes and he was not called for blocking the plate.

And it was not controversial. He was out. Period:

He was out. Rivera had reason to argue. The umpire missed the call, and it gave LSU a tie game and eventually a lead. Florida battled back and scored the game tying run (should've been a game winner)

They couldn't take advantage of bases loaded and nobody out in the 11th and you don't deserve to win when that happens.

Bad calls happen. I get that. But don't excuse the bad call because of a rarely enforced rule. Plus, he left a lane to the back part of the plate, so it's not technically blocking the plate.

Not to mention the dropped foul ball in the 9th that turned into the instant replay double (and eventually comes home to score) should have never been dropped and most likely isn't dropped if we are not subbing for a guy in the bottom of the ninth whose coming into the game for first time all night ice cold and gets a hit like that from the first batter.
