Serious question, not a troll. Do you still have faith in Butch or are you secretly hoping he implodes and seals his fate?

FWIW I think you guys finish 7-5 regular season behind only Georgia and Florida.

I don't have faith in Butch Jones, but I'll never root for my team to lose.

Same. I definitely have lost a lot of interest in this season though. I sat there stoic last Saturday from the time Arkansas tied it up until the end of the game. It's kind of weird.

No real fan ever wishes their coach implodes the program, no matter how much they want to see them fired

Thanks for the serious answers. I know you'd never root for your team to lose, just wondered about Butch specifically.

Butch has another year.

There will be NO excuses next year.

I look to see new coordinators next years. At the very least a new OC.

Towards the end with muschamp, I was rooting for HBC to help us one more time and it worked out for the best

Yeah I don't mean implode the program. Like if Tenn goes 7-5 and wins a bowl game would you want him back next year or would you wish him gone. Due to something like the player-punching rumor (just an example). So that you could still finish the season strong, not hurt recruiting, and avoid a buyout.

In that case would 7-5 or 8-4 instill faith or would you still rather roll the dice with a new coach.

7-5 would be a good record comparatively, right>?

he definitely gets another year at 7-5 in my mind

Yeah I have no doubt he'll be back, just wondering if fans want him back next year.

If not, would 7-5 change their mind, 8-4? 6-6? I don't think they finish lower than 6-6 at worst.

Life's a Butch...

I think TN beats GA this weekend and turns things around. They are a decent team just don't know how to win.

I still think we have a chance at 7-8 regular season games so I'm no where near panic mode and I'm certainly not handwringing.

You guys will beat Georgia and end up winning 8 games and Butch will end up as the Mark Richt of Tennessee. So congrat's on the coaching stability.

I don't think our OC is the problem but I do think Azzani may get the axe. Despite his ability to recruit WRs have severely under performed every year and while we can point to a few questionable calls overall the offense has been effective despite the passing game being horrible (and remember Azzani is Passing Game Coordinator).

This is true. It's obvious they're "better" than the teams they've lost to, they're just like Arkansas last year win that they haven't figured out how to win yet.

Once they do figure it out, I expect them to log some big wins.

I don't but what are you gonna do? I think right now continuity would be the lesser of the evils. I expected 8 wins this year and I doubt UT gets there. Outside of North Texas, no games on UT schedule is a gimme at this point, imo. Sure, UT will have more talent but will it have the fight.

Next year, I expected nothing less than Atlanta but now I dunno. Florida seems to be way ahead of schedule, Mizzou may now have a QB who may find his groove, UGA is UGA and will seem to be a threat and UK is improving weekly it seems...and who knows with the Cocks, they can all of a sudden just pop in out of no where. Worst case, UT finishes with 8 wins next year and if that is to be the case then Jones needs to put his house for sale and GTFO of Knoxville.

I have faith that the issues are with the DC and possibly OC.
