Serious question for the LSU types.

Let's say Orgeron does something similar to what he did at USC. 6-2, 7-1, bowl game, etc.
Would you be ok with just installing him as HC and moving on, or are you dead set on putting all your chips on the table and going for broke? Going for broke obviously being Herman or maybe Jimbo.
Living in SoCal and following the teams, I think USC made a mistake in not keeping CEO, at least for 2-3 years.
Obviously, the tenor is a bit different for you guys compared to USC. I just wonder where y'all sit regarding the next 4 months or so if CEO performs well.

6-2 no. At the least he would have to beat Bama

Win out and bring home another NC and O can stay.

I would conduct my interviews at the end of the season, gage the interest other coaches have in the job, and see what the best deal I could come up with would be.
Business and all.
Business and all.

Oh well, it was nice knowing you Coach O.

Orgeron beats Bama. Bama still wins the SEC and makes the playoffs with 1 loss. LSU makes Coach O permanent.
Deal. Saban trolls again

6-2 + loss to Bama + lost bowl game is their standard, so they'd keep him. They don't actually have hopes of improving, they just wanted to stop the bleeding of continually getting shittier with CLM.

I think we all know if he goes 8-4 he gets to stay another year

Question for LSU fans, aggy can't help but troll. Not surprised.

I think if Herman says no they will stick with him. I don't think they'll force a bad hire. I've kind of moved on from the Jimbo train too. Herman or Orgeron.

Excuse me, but it said "LSU types."
It also said "serious question," which is of course why I responded seriously.

I didn't see the "soon", did I miss it?

Interesting scenario.
Runs the table, give him the keys.
Let's say 1 loss, and it's close, competitive all the way...give him the keys.
2 losses, but still hard fought, competitive, 0 mental lapse from the sidelines...sure, why not.
Things that are a MUST for him to keep the HC position - can he get the team to WAKE THE frick UP and respond with competitive passion for 60 minutes; can ALL the coaches get on the same page and lead this team; will the leaders of the team respond; does the team get measurably better every week....and so on and so on.

Maybe. I do like how he mentioned that he learned from his previous HC job (OM). He didn't do bad when handed the interim at the USC shite show.
It's time to prove it. We'll see. He said he'll let his coaches coach, hold them accountable, and the buck stops with him. A bit refreshing. He certainly didn't hesitate to pull the trigger on Cam.

They seemed to love him out here, even the media types. I enjoyed his tenure.
USC gonna USC though. They ain't gonna ever let a Thibideaux in the door. Instead they hired a dud in Helton.
Now they are out looking again.
