The Louisiana economy has most of its eggs in one basket which creates a boom or bust scenario. Couple a downturn in O&G with inept leaders and you get a broke arse state. Alabama has a more diverse economy: steel, timber, cotton, peanuts, automobile manufacturing, large port, airplane manufacturing, space center...there's just more diversity and the economy isn't so dependent on one industry. Unfortunately Alabama also has inept leadership so that keeps the state from blossoming into its full potential.

LSU has always had a big presence in south Bama. It just seems like a lot because there aren't exactly a lot of "UA Alumni" stickers floating around the state.

Keep your crocs on the sidewalk, gump

Alabama & Louisiana are strikingly similar except for the lack of a major city in Alabama.

Easier to get a job in Alabama when you are only competing with Bama grads. Having "roll tide" yelled at you in Walmart parking lots by 8th grade dropouts is a drawback though.

I get passed everyday on the way to work by a 1990s truck with a big arse "A" in the back window. You should see him pass everyone after NASCAR sunday... Ricky Bobby in the flesh. He is inspired. Lives in a trailer park, where he rents.

I wonder why he's so angry?

I can assure you LSU grads aren't flocking to Alabama for work. You don't get to steal Houston's thunder like that.

Somebody has to come and help Auburn fans support the Bama fans laying up on food stamps.

That truck isn't improving anything.
I dunno. Based on the foliage in the bed, it might have been improving someone's lawn...

It's inexplicably worse than being tiger baited by 8th grade dropouts in Walmart parking lots...

If you drive a shitty vehicle, PLEASE don't sully the brand of your university by advertising that you went there and now you're poor.

I'll debate anyone, anywhere, anytime who wants to claim that my beat up old International Harvester Scout is shitty.

I don't really have one, it just sort of popped into my head.
