Don't think he was a 5-star but he was Mr Football in Mississippi his senior year of HS.

But due to both the magnitude and mutliplicity of his bust, deserves mentioning.....

fricking Jimmy Johns

Damn I forgot about him. Is there a bigger kiss of death than to be a big arkansas high school prospect and go to Auburn. I guess being any big recruit and going to lsu.

Anyone going by a 5* on scout is nuts, they give out 50 freaking 5 stars every year, it's ridiculous.

I graduated with Enrique. He was as dumb as a rock. Ran like a bull in HS until a kid from crestview lit him up one night, he ran scared since that play. He and Carlton Johnson both signed with auburn out of HS and both were borderline retarded. Carlton is in prison now

Eta: don't know if he was a 5 star, but Titus Ryan is a legendary best that never made it to bama

Wasn't Brantley a 5*?

Edit: And Dyer was offensive mvp in the national title game, how the frick does that make him a bust?

Yea I don't consider him a bust. I'm not sure what these morons are talking about. They think if they didn't stay through the whole time or until they got drafted they are busts regardless of what they did at the school.

What about OLineman Leon Hart?

A bust if ever there was one.

Definitely another Auburn 5 star bust not listed by the OP.

I wouldn't call Dyer a bust.

We got two very productive years out of him, one where he was our entire offense.

His AU career was just cut short a year early

Tyler Love, what a gigantic pussy that guy was. His dad must have been someone important because they continued to give that waste of a fat arse a scholarship.

As usual in these kind of threads, few people have a strong grasp of what a bust is.

Kids that are productive for a year or two and flunk out/get kicked off the team aren't busts.

Bust = highly regarded recruit who gets on campus and never plays a meaningful snap in his career. No academic/character issues that get him suspended/kicked off the team. No horrible injuries that severely hamper his abilities. Just a kid who goes to school for 4 or 5 years and never does anything on the field, or transfers out for playing time.

The hell he wasn't. At least he was when he left Spring Valley and signed with Auburn. Now, if he was down-graded after signing with Auburn I was not aware of it but he was most definitely a 5* while he was being recruited by SC, Bama, Auburn, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, SoCal, etc.
