I know yall are very worried we're finally going to get a real coach in here and as a result have entered full meltdown mode defending Les but please, try to remain calm.

LSU will be buying in the middle of the biggest seller's market in a long time.
Good luck

They said the same about Alabama when you fired a coach a year removed from a 10 win season despite crippling NCAA sanctions

Are you really comparing Miles to Shula? Really?

Lots of people realize the situation. LSU is underperforming relative to talent, resources, and compensation. Miles is 62 and his "best" years are behind him. Time to move on instead of languishing for another couple of years with him.

Nah. We want y'all beating to death that Les is leaving on here only for him to stay. It was so fun when Chains didn't leave to go to A&M last time y'all were so confident about your coaching situation.

Yeah, you guys are probably at a tipping point, but post-Fulmer Tenn/post-Solich Nebraska/post-Mack Texas/post-Carr Michigan are as likely as having the thing turned around immediately. Saban and Meyer are the only two proven big name home run hires the last 10 years.

Very possible, but I don't think you realize that this will be much more controlled than those situations. I would be very surprised if the LSU brass allowed this to devolve into an open coaching search. There are only a couple of candidates that they would go after. If not, they would probably defer to next year.

Oh yeah, everyone is real fricking worried. Lol

It's a curious phenomenon. The SEC Rant tells us Les sucks for years. We defend him. In the meantime we average 10 wins a season, win a National Championship, play for another and win two SEC Championships.
Then things turn sour, the program begins a four year slide, he loses the locker room and the LSU fan base, based on being the Coach who is presiding over the first LSU three game losing streak since the 1990's, and the first LSU three game double digit losing streak since the 1960's and suddenly The SEC rant thinks he is God's gift to LSU and LSU fans suck.
The truth folks is that Les Miles is a near-universally respected and admired man who has nonetheless reached the end of the road at LSU. Just stop the trolling for a minute and understand that Les has BOTH earned his respected spot in the football Universe, is justifiably being held accountable for the state of the program, and while you guys might enjoy trolling a rival, it doesn't make your "analysis" any less shitty and ridiculous.

Pretty much worried just like last spring ... when LSU was going to have "a real QB," the best in the country who was recruited by everyone, could sling it everywhere and was going to re-write the college football record books.
Oh yeah... the 9th rated QB in the 2014 class was going to be the best in the SEC and that was all LSU needed to go to the NC.
How did that work out for LSU this year?
And what is the "new real coach" going to do about no SEC level DL, no LBs, no OL depth or experience, no proven QB ... etc?

It's almost like you think we should all pretend that we were not picked third in the West and you were picked first. The truth is that tiny little people like taking nonsensical jabs at their rivals when their rivals are down. I get that. The sadness for me is that people are delighting in the fall of Les Miles, who is TRULY one of the good guys.
