Aw....its an honour and a privildge to be ranked third in the Rant power standings...gosh Im shocked with all those fine west division teams and all.
But I think we are very undeserving of such lofty status because Ive read here on the Rant that we havent beaten anyone of note. ECU is awful, New Mexico State is in another country, UK almost beat us, UT we had to have fluke 4th qt comeback and Ole Miss just had a lapse. Now this is according to a lot of knowledgable Mizzou posters and I value their opinion.
Maybe we should be 7th or 8th place? We just havent earned anything yet. Now suppose we do get extremely lucky and beat Louisiana State University? Im sure we could rise to 5th or 4th place? That once beaten Alabama is definitely ahead of us....maybe Georgia should be 3rd? Right fine team led by the senior head coach in the SEC.
Im just hoping somehow we find a way to win at Missouri with strokes of luck and and somehow they play down to our level?

If I'm reading the graph correctly, about 15 people voted Alabama #1, out of... what? 28 voters?
Even if both Alabama fans voted themselves #1, that's 13 others that thought Alabama is presently playing the best football.
That's a power ranking, folks - who is playing the best right now. If Auburn suddenly goes on a tear and wins their next 5 games by 40 points, they'll be #1 in THIS ranking - but wouldn't be #1 in other polls.
How hard is that to understand? If "being undefeated" is what mattered, then don't worry about this poll - go touch yourself while staring at the SEC Standings. That's based on pure record and nothing else.
