If you want to contribute to this week's Football Power Rankings, submit your 1-14 ranking of the SEC teams here or email it to me (email is in my profile). We will randomly pick 2 rankings out of all the reasonable ones submitted. Voting closes Tuesday night, and the winners will be announced in the Football Power Rankings thread

Here are some suggestions that we give to the regular voters:

quote:

We aren't going to tie your hands with a "formula" but we encourage you to use some of the following: the past week's results, team momentum/trend, conference record, rankings (SOS, AP, Coaches, College Playoff Selection Committee Poll (whatever they decide it call it), etc), team stats, OOC record, overall record, eye-test. We trust that you're able to form your own combo of these elements without our guidance, but we would like you to emphasize what a team has most recently accomplished.

Here's last week's PR to give you a starting point (if wanted)
1) Alabama
2) Florida
3) Arkansas
4) LSU
5) Ole Miss
6) MSU
7) Tennessee
8) UGA
9) Auburn
10) A&M
11) Vandy
12) Mizzou
13) UK
14) sc

Thanks

So last week we have an orange line, now we're not even good enough for a capitalized acronym?

Yeah you right. We aren't.

Yeah, my bad. The ranking in the OP is last week's PR. Probably should have mentioned that

A&M is on a 2 game winning streak (OM & MSU only have 1) and just got their star QB back from injury. They have the same record as State, OM, UGA and a better record than LSU, UT, and ARK.

Power rankings are who you think would win more often than not on a neutral field. Records and early season head to head are factors but not overriding ones.

That is your definition of it. And I think A&M now with a healthy Kyle Allen would smoke most SEC teams.

2 or 3 weeks ago we didn't know he played through a sprained AC joint in his throwing shoulder.

Now you look at his play in the first 5 games and Vandy and he's the best QB in the conference.

I didn't know that. Explains a lot about your season's trajectory.

So you would rank 3 teams that Arkansas beat in their house ahead of them...interesting.
