If Auburn has to forfeit all games this season, and a ruling is made in he next 2 weeks, will it be reflected in the current W-L records?

If so, does LSU move to #2 in the BCS and Arkansas moves into 5-10? With both teams playing for the SEC West soon?

Also, if that were to happen, would LSU be the luckiest unbeaten team ever with:

Dropped TD pass by UNC
Extra play TD vs. UT
Fake FG bounce pass vs UF
Reverse on 4th vs. Bama
Loss taken off the books by the FBI

no. everybody that lost to AU would still have that loss on their record.

Damn it you don't like us when we are 9-1 maybe you will like us better when we are 10-0???

This will not be completely settled until long after the season ends so it's a moot point.

I believe if they have to forfeit, any team who got beat by Auburn would get the loss turned into a win.

If they have to vacate, the beaten teams would have to keep the loss.

im4lsu, are you pretty sure. Somebody said the NCAA precedent had been set that wins would be forfeited if found during the season.

Extra play TD vs. UT

Wasn't luck

That was sheer stupidity on the part of the Tennessee coaching staff and your head coach deserves the credit.

Too bad yall didn't play Auburn this year so that you may have a loss removed helping your chances to become bowl eligible

You're right BamaChick. Alabama had to forfeit the 1993 wins and the other team got to count it as a win.

The textbookgate wins were just vacated, which meant that Bama had 21 wins wiped out but does not count as as loss. The other team still has to count it as a loss.

So if Auburn has to forfeit, the other team wins; if they have to vacate, the other team still loses.

This.

If the NCAA has to wait for the FBI to finish their investigation similar to having to wait for the Reggie Bush court case to conclude, then the games will be vacated at a later date.

Not if the games are forfeited. However, the NCAA policy is to normally vacate wins. In that case, the wins are removed from all records, but the losses remain.

NCAA Statistics Policies 2010-2011

But, if they are actually ordered forfeit by the NCAA, the losses by Auburn opponents will change to 1-0 wins.

Interesting reading, to say the least...

So if the ruling comes down in the next week or two that Auburn has to FORFEIT, then it is LSU vs Arkansas for the West?

(assuming LSU and Ark win this weekend)
