IYO where would you rank LSU in the West if they lose to SC?

depends on the severity of the loss and the outcome of the MSU/Tenn game.

If it was a convincing victory by the Cocks and State defeats the Vols, I would jump State to #2 and put A&M and LSU as being equal, assuming they handle their business against LA Tech.

I'm not sure who us is, but I can say with some confidence that the difference is that LSU expects to win such games.

Your fanbase doesn't expect to win this week.

It is a distinct possibility that the Tigers to go on a nice 4 game losing streak.

It really is funny that people think that if they live in New Orleans or they read the rant that they have the pulse of what the fanbase thinks.

Picking the two most cynical, a-hole groups and thinking you have the temperature is a selection bias

Since when did LSU fan's expectations have anything to do with the team winning or losing?

He was responding to what I said that LSU expects to win against top five opponents, while (presumably) MSU expects to either get killed/shutout or for Mullen to shite on the end of a winnable game and they get kicked in the crotch in most devastating fashion.

The correct response for you was "since when does it matter if a fanbase thinks it will win" and I completely agree.

What does that have to do with anything Schlow?

Right now I think you could make an argument for 2-4 between A&M/LSU/State. Until those teams start playing each other or Bama though it's all just crap because you get into "Is it more impressive to lose to UF on the road by a TD or at home by a FG?" or "is it less impressive to barely beat Auburn, Ole Miss, or Troy in a tight game?"

In 2 weeks when A&M plays LSU we will start to know something.

I do wonder if one of the bottom 3 could sneak up on those 3 this year though. All are dangerous and have nothing to lose.

This got out of hand

I originally responded to your post about losing to two top 5 teams, implying those would be good losses

I said that sounds like us, because over the last few years we have held up "good losses" because the teams were in the top 5

I don't think what the fanbase thinks has anything to do with the outcome of games.

That's fair but doesn't quite explain:

They don't expect to win

I don't think that has any effect on how the players perform, just stating their expectations

So, you either think LSU is the fans or you made a complete non sequitur. In the case of the latter, thanks for sharing your observation, I guess.

One on the road. Depends on the score but LSU would probably have to fall to around 4 at best.

Don't you mean "at worst"? Even struggling, LSU is still better than Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Auburn.
