I have literally never heard anyone call it a conference.
And I am not even doing that thing where people use literally as a hyperbolic expression. I really have never heard that.

I'm not even arguing the strength of sides. SECw is hands down the best division in college football, but it's a division of a conference. It's not a conference in and of itself. I've heard this used with the different divisions of the PAC-12 and B1G.

Nah...SEC is like a pendulum...East dominates for a few years...then West. I'm happy as long as the SEC is dominating, regardless of division. Oh...and as long as LSU is competitive...
