Not familiar with NCAA golf but how many regional locations are there? How many teams in the tournament? Why are all the SEC teams stacked in 2 regionals?
Thx

If memory serves there are only 4 regionals and can not remember the full compliment but I think 6 advance from each regional for the championship series.

And how does individual work? No "team" in contest but player qualifies and top competitors on teams play for individual and team score?
Sry for the questions but you keep replying so frick it

I think so, I usually only follow the team stuff but several SEC schools have individual players in the regionals.
Just went to Golf Week and got this
The 2017 NCAA Division I women’s golf regional fields were revealed Thursday. In all, 72 teams and 24 individuals will compete in four regional championships, each set for May 8-10. Each regional will feature 18 teams and six individuals.
The four regional sites are Ohio State University’s Scarlet Course in Columbus, Ohio; The Rawls Course in Lubbock, Texas; the University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, Ga.; and the University of New Mexico Championship Course in Albuquerque, N.M.
The low six teams and low three individuals not on those teams will advance to the NCAA Championship at Rich Harvest Farms on May 19-24 in Sugar Grove, Ill.

Good on those individuals. I'm sure the top 3 are very very good. And all of the competitors of course. Not taking it away from them lol

I put the Golf Digest link in the OP if you want to read more about it.

Yes I'll be checking it out in a bit. I'm the guy that loves to golf but don't know half about it. Every time I pick up a magazine I get lost, and most forums or FB groups are all about how everyone can hit 400.

Nine teams made the post season.
Damn, that's strong.
Four of those teams could win the national championship.

You can look at golfstat also to find good information for college golf. It's been the main thing I've used for the past few years.

Florida and South Carolina advanced out of our Regional.
We absolutely melted down and failed to advance. Extremely disappointing finish for them.
