Kentucky vs. Alabama
-Season, UK leads 1-0
-UK playing for a 1 seed in NCAAt
-Bama playing to possibly get home games in NIT

Arkansas vs. Vanderbilt
-Season, series tied 1-1
-Both teams now locks for NCAAt
-Both looking to better their seeding in NCAAt

Should be a good couple of games. Ive got UK taking game 1 and maybe making a late push for a 1 seed in the NCAAt with UNC falling yesterday. Not sure on game two. Vanderbilt can hit the three ball well, but so can Arkansas. I think the difference may be who has more fresh legs the last 10 minutes of the game. Looking forward to both contests.

Bama Vs. Kentucky----These two met once this season in Tuscaloosa, where Bama held.the Cats to their worst shooting performance of the season & they still lost. Alabama will need to bring that same defensive intensity, plus a couple.other things have to happen if they want any shot of winning this game: Out Rebound the Cats, Make all of their free throws, and knock down 6 to 8 three pointers..It's tough to realistically see Alabama generating enough offense to match Tic for Tac with Big Blue Nation; even if they slow the pace of Play down...I got Kentucky winning 68-56 as the Tide have a horrendous performance from the Charity Stripe & their offense never really gets going.

Vandy Vs. Arkansas---no one wants to play Vandy right now, they are playing their best defense of the season and peaking at the right time. These two split contest this season, with the road team winning each meeting; something that stood out was the winner of each won the battle on the board & was hot from downtown...Give me Vandy with the 7'1 All SEC Center to take the Commodores to the finals 67-59

My head tells me UK is just too much better than Bama in talent, so they win even if we play over our heads.

My heart (always the pessimist in BB) says we beat Kentucky and lose by 23 to Vandy or Arkansas in the finals.

I've got a bad feeling we play with dead legs and get run out of the gym the second half.

But we'll gut it out and won't play scared. Just not sure we have enough juice to make it a 40 minute game.

That would be the most Bama thing ever.

I actually like basketball, and while the Wimp Sanderson years had some great talent and consistent wins, we never made it past the sweet 16. Seemed like we were cursed.

Here is a video from the golden age of Bama basketball. LSU beats us because Shaq was unstoppable even in college (when he was still an undisciplined kid trying to find his coordination, but still so massive that nobody could handle him.)

Robery Horry, Latrell Sprewell, James Robinson, Jason Caffey...Bama legends

Will Bama basketball see a 2004 type season any time soon?

Damn, you gotta watch that video. That was when we had a team that could ball. That's a fun game to watch between two good basketball teams.

Pretty fair assessment, though I will point out Bama has been shooting much better from the FT line since the Kentucky game where they were awful.

I think we'll find out early how this game is going to go. Bama is playing the third day in a row, and fatigue could be a factor. Watch for early fouls and cold shooting. Cold shooting has been a problem for us all year. Could be even uglier adding fatigue to the factor.

Damn, I bet those were some fun times in Coleman. No idea why they stopped playing Rammer Jammer during the games.

this is an interesting stat

arkansas is 5 and 0 in semi final games against teams not named kentucky

arkansas is winless, 0 and 6 against kentucky in the SECT. even the year we won the natty we loss 95 to 93 in the SECCG

so we are going to win today and lose tomorrow

Coleman was so awesome back then. We had season tickets from around 83(? Bobby Lee Hurt was playing when we first got them) and had them through the early 90's when I was a student. Saw so many awesome games. Beating the shite out of UNC in 90 or 91 was the best one.

2004 would be nice, since it was our deepest run ever in the NCAA tourney.

My favorite year, though, was when we barely lost to Loyala Marymount in the Sweet 16. We should have made the final four that year, but the damn "Team of Destiny" squeaked by us.
