The SEC just announced each school will receive 20.7 million -- the 289.4 million to 14 schools is most ever.

Texas A&M's competitiveness this year was the best thing that could've happened to the conference. The more TV sets there are watching SEC games, the more everyone makes.

LSU's got a lot of capital improvement projects lined up, this is going to help quite a bit.

2012 ($244.0 million); 2013 ($289.4 million).
An extra $45 million from last year? Thanks Mizzou.

*Edited to say that without Mizzou, none of this would be possible.

LINK

$241.5 million divided by 12

I thought we'd get more this year after the TV deals.

The SEC will have to go to a 9 game schedule and get rid of the boring and out-dated rivalry games for the big bucks!

Does anyone know what the split on revenue was for football vs basketball?

Obviously football is the jewel in the crown, but I want to see how the other sports are contributing to the pie.

Didn't the Big 12 just announce $26 + million per school?

The estimate is that it will be $34 million once the new SEC network kicks in

Big 12 had about $100MM less than the SEC to distribute. Texas may have gotten $26MM though.

That was an initial report, but the actual distribution was much smaller:

quote:

David Ubben ? @ davidubben 3h
Big 12 will distribute $198 million in conference revenue to teams this year, Bob Bowlsby announces. Will ramp up as new TV deals kick in.

David Ubben ? @ davidubben 3h
Bob Bowlsby says the number per school is "in the ballpark" of $22 million per school. TCU/WVU receiving half shares in Year 1, as planned.

$26M may be in their future, though.
