Here are the match-ups, not including teams who were on probation and ineligible. For tiebreakers I used head to head, record vs common opponents, and higher ranked team. Parenthesis is the actual match-up with winner in bold.

1992 - Alabama vs Florida (Alabama vs Florida)
1993 - Florida vs Tennessee (Alabama vs Florida)
1994 - Alabama vs Florida (Alabama vs Florida)
1995 - Florida vs Tennessee (Florida vs Arkansas)
1996 - Florida vs Tennessee (Florida vs Alabama)
1997 - Tennessee vs Auburn (Tennessee vs Auburn)
1998 - Florida vs Tennessee (Tennessee vs MS State)
1999 - Alabama vs Florida (Alabama vs Florida)
2000 - Florida vs Auburn (Florida vs Auburn)
2001 - Florida vs Tennessee (Tennessee vs LSU)
2002 - Georgia vs Florida (Georgia vs Arkansas)
2003 - LSU vs Ole Miss (LSU vs Georgia)
2004 - Auburn vs Tennessee (Auburn vs Tennessee)
2005 - LSU vs Auburn (LSU vs Georgia)
2006 - Florida vs Arkansas (Florida vs Arkansas)
2007 - Tennessee vs LSU (Tennessee vs LSU)
2008 - Alabama vs Florida (Alabama vs Florida)
2009 - Alabama vs Florida (Alabama vs Florida)
2010 - Auburn vs Arkansas (Auburn vs S Carolina)
2011 - LSU vs Alabama (LSU vs Georgia)
2012 - Alabama vs Georgia (Alabama vs Georgia)
2013 - Auburn vs Alabama (Auburn vs Missouri)
2014 - Alabama vs Missouri (Alabama vs Missouri)
2015 - Alabama vs Florida (Alabama vs Florida)

So what I'm seeing is that 6 of those years would've been all SEC East, compared to 5 all West. However it hasn't been since 2002 that it would've been East and 2013 all West. Just to sum it up a bit.

that's nice and all, but schedule would be completely diff in your scenario without perma division opponents.

But the East has always been shite! The SEC should get rid of divisions!

Crazy all 5 of TN's would have still happened and we would have added 3 more.

Vols should have 8!

I love hypotheticals...but hypothetically if we didn't recognize divisions within the conference...wouldn't our entire conference schedules be different than the ones we played in those actual years...
