Ironically, Kiffin tried to bring this tradition back the one year he was at Tennessee but Alabama wasn't having it.

But yea this should be brought back. Tennessee orange and crimson red just looks really good together.

Alabama can't make their mind up about uniforms. The one from 1892 was good enough but, no, people always have to have change for change's sake.

Ugly as hell. Thank goodness they will never be seen again. Both LSU and Tulane wore alternates that game to be sold off to benefit Katrina relief.
LSU also wore a gold jersey I think against Vandy under Dinardo(back when the other team had to allow us to wear white at home). Think we also had a white helmet during a bowl under Dinardo.

TSIO absolutely DESERVES to return to this.

If I'm not mistaken, The NCAA allows teams to wear whatever jerseys they want, as long as the colors are not similar. So orange and crimson should need no permision to happen, except for the schools deciding on it.
It does look good by the way.

I'm surprised we haven't fumbled more over the years, seeing how none of our players have had hands.

......and yes, we should play the vols in Crimson and Orange Every Year!

Everybody has an alternate occasionally but the teams that do it multiple times a year have a gimmicky feel to them. Everybody wants to be Oregon with the gaudy, tacky uniforms and I'm glad that the SEC isn't as bad about it as some other conferences. Constant change in uniforms just seems tacky and classless.

Kentucky recently got on the gimmicky uniform bandwagon and I effing hate it. Our colors are blue and white, not black or grey.

: kige :

The other big issue was when UK let KU enforce a legal claim and they killed the old K helmets.

UGA has changed pants colors, stripes and don't forget the Power Rangers.

That "Power Rangers" crap WASN'T our choosing! I think it was a requirement for the game.

Tennessee has changed from their original, too. People complained about the Smokey Grey...but that was actually pretty close to the jerseys worn in the early 1900's. UT has only been wearing orange jerseys for about 90 years.

It is an orange that only a mother can love. I'm sure I'd love it too if I were silly enough to have been a Volunteer fan.

You'd have hated it had you been a fan of every other school too.

Do you find Rocky Top 4 times in a row pleasing?
