f you for making me stick up for the guy, but dude you're crazy. Sure he wasn't very good, but he still had a season that had them ranked #2 at the halfway point and ended the season in the top 10. You want to talk about "worst head coaches" you need to look at your dooleys, chiziks, john ls, etc.

That is their point. Why hasn't he turned them into that functioning unit? I mean, with the huge talent gap that he has he should win everything if he is as good a coach as many make him out to be.

He's won three national titles and three SEC titles in 8 seasons at Alabama? In addition to 91 wins and countless individual awards and draft picks. What more could he do? It's already one of the best runs in conference history.

Absolutely. And he's also had the #1 clasds in the country for 5 years running. I'm just explaining what others in the thread are saying. Alabama fans seem to be perplexed that because they have by far the very best players, facilities and coaches that people think they should win every year.

It's why few coaches have been able to maintain the same rate of success over many years. The success actually becomes a detriment. Guys on the roster now have no frame of reference for the foundation buoy by the 2008 and 2009 classes.

You're doing the same thing he is doing except your guy is Chizik. If you are going to give Muschamp a notch above most terrible just because he finished a year 11-2, then you need to bump Chizik up higher because of his 14-0 perfect season with a national championship. Blah blah Cam Newton, blah blah Nick Fairley, but who got them there? Who got Michael Dyer? All the stuff runs through the HC.
