Oct 22 will be the biggest game of SEC play. Yes, even bigger than the SEC Championship.

Biggest takeaway - Auburn and LSU are still pretty solid teams. The bottom 5 in the league are trash.

First half yesterday, we looked like we could compete with anyone.

Still mad as shite about losing to Clemson.

LSU is only still in these rankings because of the reliance on preseason nonsense

Its only starting to weed them out

People can cry about Auburn all they want. These rankings actually give a crap about having a strong schedule.

I remember when people were laughing about Auburn in 2013 following the 2012 0-8 season. Auburn is a dark horse to really piss some people off in the West. Maybe even my team. But I think Auburn gets overlooked.

By this week preseason stuff is almost gone. LSU isn't an elite Top 3 team, but they have lost 2 games to Top 15 teams away from home at the end of the game. I don't know how good they are, but they aren't a total dumpster fire. They have a very good defense at the very least.

Add S&P+ to your list for comparison. It's the best one out there but I'd like to see how close the others compare.

They're 4-1 and they played Tennessee to a 10 point game. That's the reason.

Masey looks the closest for SEC teams. Although, UF & poosibly Ark should be ahead of L5u

MASSEY
1. Alabama
5. Texas A&M
7. Ole Miss
9. Tennessee
11. Auburn
13. LSU
23. Arkansas
29. Florida
35. Georgia

This how I'd rank

Wranglers Wrankings

1-Alabama
2-Texas A&M
3-Ole Miss
4-Tennessee
5-Auburn
6-Florida
7/8Ark-L5u
9-Georgia

Any system with Auburn ahead of A&M is suspect

3/4/5 in there is a blur. Think Auburn is a bit better than anyone is giving them credit for. Their two losses aren't bad at all at least equal to Ole Miss's losses. Tennessee is on a roller coaster ride. If they could just eliminate mistakes.

6. Florida is a question mark. They're banged up and have wins over two of the worst SEC schools. They could get a lot better but who knows.

7. Arky - I expect to get better down the stretch. They've played a pretty tough schedule.

LSU - Is a damn wildcard. They've also only beaten two of the lower end schools in the SEC, but despite playing like a dumpster fire on offense hung in two games with pretty decent teams on the road. Much like Florida they could get a lot better, but who knows. Les Miles teams tended to get worse as the season progressed, it'll be entertaining to see how the season plays out.

Eh, I watched them play against each other. Didn't appear to be much difference between the two. And that's pretty much what the advanced stats say.
