So the top 3 teams are the same for Yards/Play and Points per game on both offense and defense.... what a gap between those and everyone else.

Here is the full ranking of SEC teams by Total Offense/Play minus Total Defense/Play against P5 opponents thus far:

+3.19- Alabama
+3.15- Georgia
+1.56- Auburn
+0.83- LSU
+0.23- Florida
+0.22- South Carolina
-0.57- Texas A&M
-0.75- Missouri
-0.95- Ole Miss
-1.11- Kentucky
-1.24- Mississippi State
-1.66- Tennessee
-1.88- Arkansas
-2.14- Vanderbilt

So LSU by far has the most impressive wins in the SEC against #3 and #5.......

Vandy, Mizzou, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Ole Miss are just absolute garbage this year. I can't remember a year in which the SEC produced 5 teams as bad as they all look. It's one thing to have 1 or 2 teams as bad as they've looked, but to have 5 teams that are consistently getting the shite beat out of them on a weekly basis is unheard of in this league.

Based off these stats, I'd also say that Texas A&M and Mississippi State are a bit overrated.

I think most anyone would rank A&M and State in the top half of the league.... but A&M is being outgained by more than half of a yard on each and every play against P5 opponents... and State is being outgained by 1.24 yards/play each and every time.

That is not a characteristic of even a decent team.

So many insane stats listed. 17% third down conversion against Alabama defense is probably the most eye opening. Texas A&M at almost 5 sacks a game and 8 tfl is incredible as well.

These stats also really expose just how bad the middle to bottom of the conference is this year. The same 3 teams at the top of every category (UA, UGA, AU) and only 5 consistently competent football teams with LSU and A&M added to the other 3. South Carolina and State could move into that category but that is no gaurentuee. That's half the conference that is playing at very below average clip.

Georgia's 3rd down conversion really scares me if we get the chance to play them. 60% is insane. I really hope Alabama can start moving up into the 40s after the bye. Our offensive style should be good at 3rd downs, but our execution is lacking or something

As I said in another thread, the biggest addition to our offense has been Fromm's efficiency on third down. We've been converting at a very high rate and his accuracy/running ability has contributed to that. If we're able to keep defenses on the field our running game is too much for them to handle once it gets to the second half.

As an aside, no one discusses how good our receiving group is, but Godwin, Wims, Ridley, and Hardman are extremely underrated as a group in this conference solely because of how little we throw the ball.
