This, 2015, will be the 23rd consecutive year in which the SEC has fielded at least one team in the CWS. It's the longest participation streak by any conference in the modern era.*

This, 2015, will be the 8th consecutive year in which the SEC has fielded multiple teams in the CWS. It's the longest streak of it's kind in the modern era.

Conversely, the SEC has had a team, (seven different teams to be exact), representing the conference in the finals every year, from 2008-2014. No other conference has ever come close to this kind of streak with this kind of diversity.

* Modern Era defined as "since the regional format was employed." 1975

** ASU did not join the PAC 10, along with AZ, until 1978. Before that they were in the WAC.

Will South Carolina have any representation in Omaha this year?

Will LSU bats magically come out of their slump?

South Carolina had a bad year; it happened to LSU just a few years ago when we missed the post season. Y'all will return to baseball glory, of that I have no doubt.

SEC is going to be well represented in Omaha, which is a great thing. Just glad we made it this year.

IIRC, every SEC team, except Mizzou and Kentucky, has made it to the CWS the last 20 years

No need to explain; I'm pretty sure that's obvious to everyone.
As someone else said, South Carolina can't win it every year.

This. That program is too solid and this is the nature of the game. They will be back.

Also agree with Florida being the most scary team at this point. Very complete, playing tough.

it would tie the record set by the PAC 8 from 1967-74 when SoCal and AZ State dominated the finals for eight straight years.

I played in the Pac8 from 72 through 76. There was no ASU. They joined in 1978. We had the northern schools (UW, WSU, UO, OSU) and the southern schools (Cal, Stanford, USC, UCLA) at the time.
