It's still the same.

That list makes no sense. How do TAMU, Missouri, and Ole Miss justify charging more than Bama, Florida, LSU, Tennessee, and Georgia?

Texas A&M has a better football stadium and Aggies support their team.

Student ticket prices could be raised and Texas A&M would still have the largest student section in college football.

A&M gives 38-40k to students including prime seats on the 50 yard line. No other school does anything close to that.

It's basically half of the 1st deck and entire 2nd and 3rd decks (endzone-to-endzone) on the east side.

(I know you know this, just clarifying)

Yep we're pretty much arse backwards from the rest of y'all on that

And really, student tickets for UK in basketball are relatively cheap at $5 a game (if you can even land a ticket between the student lottery and distribution after the fact).

It's the couple thousand a seat (not including the K-Fund donation) they make off those non-students that floats it all.

for me '10-'14, it was $8 a game which seems like the figure they are using here as well.

basketball was $2 for some games (florida, kentucky, tennessee) but a lot ended up being free as well.

Compared to tuition, $290 is literally pennies. I doubt most students would notice it if they charged $500

I remember hearing horror stories about waiting in lines for football games and even a few basketball games from older students when I was a freshman.

Didn't sound fun at all. Definitely takes away from the celebratory pregaming festivities that occur on Thursdays and Fridays before a big game on Saturday.

It can't be that much different from waiting in line for those Justin Bieber tickets.

Did I get that right? I...I'm not entirely clear on what you college kids listen to nowadays.

because we give out like 40k student tickets with the majority of them in prime seats

How exactly does the Kentucky basketball lottery even work?

When I graduated from LSU a few years ago it was $12/game for football tickets and all other sports were free. Always thought that was a great deal.

Yeah, but beverages, hot dogs, piss balloons...the concessions are where they make the real money.

It's been about 10 years since I've been but I think it's still the same.

There are batches of 4 or 5 games at a time and the lotteries are usually at 9 or 10 on a random Monday or Tuesday night. Everyone the enters the gym gets a number. Once everyone is in they draw the lottery positions in groups of 50, 1-50, 51-100, 101-150, etc. and post the order for everyone to see. If you're near the bottom you go home an hope there are tickets left the next morning.

I think now for students you register online, then if you receive notice you go to Memorial Coliseum on a Monday night (they do the lottery in blocks of games), and the if they draw your number you can purchase tickets that night.

For non-students, you put your name in a lottery for season tickets but that only applies to the very small number of season ticket holders who don't renew. So it could be years before you even get considered. Renewal of season tickets costs around $1200 a seat I believe.

Yeah I forgot about signing up online. You get your number emailed to you instead of going through the line and getting one. I'm pretty sure everything else is still the same though.

It has changed from 2014 (transition year in the stadium), but this is approximately (take away 7 sections in the endzone) where the student section is (in green).

Students are paying enough already. They should be able to get in for free.

I'd imagine free or cheap tickets lead to overcrowding. I guess it's still like this today, but big games led to people standing in the aisle and shite. Probably a huge safety hazard.

Auburn's just went up this year actually. It's been $140 for the season for the past 4 years (probably longer). I think it went up because we have 8 home games this year when we normally have 7. Comes out to $20/game. Still pretty cheap considering
