What are everyone's student ticket policies here in regards to football? Do you get priority points for attending other events? Is your registration for tickets simply based on hours earned? I just want to see how Alabama compares...our policy is based on Alabama hours earned and we currently have no incentive to attend other sporting events.

ETA: Alabama also awards away game tickets and post season tickets based on hours.

Things may have changed since I was a student (05-09) but it was based on class year and nothing else.

We pay 12$ per ticket but can only really buy them from the school in a full package. Anyone who buys season tickets and bought them the year before has to have at least 60 priority points (3 homes games at 20 a piece) to be eligible to purchase this years tickets. Other sports help with priory points but only about 2-5 per game. No where near footballs 20 per game. Away game tickets are based on the previous season total priority points and bowl tickets are based on the current seasons.

All sports are free except FB and BB. When I was in I think the access pass for FB/BB was $75

From there, whoever gets in line first gets in first at Hog FB. Same with bowls, LR games and A&M game. There will always be a line at Baum Stadium at 4 am to get student tickets too

Mississippi State charges $35 for season student tickets, and you just wait in line for them.

They award points for attendance of other sporting events, big games in softball or volleyball might get 2x points as an incentive to come out. Those points transfer to Bulldog Club points so when you aren't eligible for student tickets, you have a higher priority than students that did not attend as many sporting events.

Someone that goes to a bunch of volleyball, softball and women's basketball games might be able to get 25-30 yard line tickets as young alumni vs. upper deck tickets. Its worked pretty well. Big games are usually packed with loud students. We had like 3,000 students at a volleyball game a couple years ago. And we suck at volleyball. Like didn't win an SEC match in several seasons suck.

All our sporting events are free for students except football which is 120$ for tickets plus a 25$ donation is required and the seats are 1st come 1st serve. We have something called RebelRewards which gives away different rewards for the more sporting events you go (The less big the sport is the more points you get for going to it).

A&M does their by "pulling" tickets weekly. A football only pass for all games is $290. The athletic department probably sells 40K of them and a large majority of it is prime seating.

Grad Students & Seniors    Monday
Juniors  Tuesday
Sophomores    Wednesday
Freshmen  7  Thursday
All classes (if available)*  Friday
Walk-up (if available)**    Friday

*Classifications refer to students who have the 12th Man Pass.
**Students without a 12th Man Pass will draw on Friday as Walk-ups, subject to availability.

Students present their 12th Man Pass (purchased pre-season) at the ticket window on their designated Pull Day.

Pull schedule is as follows:
Grad Students & Seniors = Monday
Juniors = Tuesday
Sophomores = Wednesday
Freshmen = Thursday
All classes (if available) = Friday

Students are allowed to choose a deck (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or South Endzone) at ticket pull; but seats are selected randomly from remaining inventory.

A&M you buy a sports pass for football games, either 8 game package or 4 game package. All other sports are free. Just show up and scan your student id to gain entrance. For football, ticket pull starts Monday and goes through Friday. Monday group pull (10+) and seniors, Tuesday juniors, Wednesday sophomores, Thursday freshman, and anybody Friday. Seniors and Juniors get second deck. Sophomores and Freshman get third deck. Tickets are randomly assigned when pulled. -Freshman

SC's is a priority lottery done the week of the game. Students have Monday and Tuesday to request a ticket, and they find out on Wednesday whether they got one or not. The more sporting events you attend, the more points you accumulate. By the time you are a junior/senior, its virtually impossible not to get a ticket.

Back when I was a student, you had to stand in line outside of the student union to get a ticket. 2003-2007.

Full package, on the cheap, get priority points for attending games and bonus points for attending other sports events.

Away games are by priority points.

UT does priority points and you get more from attending other events (volleyball, soccer) than football. Football games are $10 and 1 priority point.

I think the current policy is that 1/3 of priority points carry over to the next year.

In my two years at State, students buy season tickets online for I think $60, first come, first serve. People enrolled in the rewards program get to buy theirs a day earlier.You can also buy guest passes, which are the only paper tickets for the student section.

Auburn's is similar. Your time to reserve your ticket online is based on Auburn credit hours (transfer hours don't count). When you buy, you can get a full season for $140. To buy any away tickets you have to get a full season. Once those sell out, you can buy mini season or 3 game passes for $20/game. Incoming Freshman have a lottery system and not many get full seasons.

We used to award block seating (which is the lower half of our section on the sideline) by Ignited points, so you had an incentive to go to other athletic events where you got those points. Now, block seating is done by GPA, so organizations like the Honors Congress have LOTS of block seating and some Greek organizations have a lot less. Student section is first come, first serve, so there is usually a line to get in a few hrs before the game

This is what I like about A&M's policy. You might have to camp out to get great tickets, but your ticket is specific to a seat. So once you get them, you can enjoy gameday and go in right before gametime.

Our's is based on hours with a lottery for freshmen. We do have a rewards system for other sports. The top 20 in points get block seating for football and they give out gear for points.
