Just in case you wanted to see one conference dominating national rankings to an extreme degree, I have the following table for you:

For a comparison the Pac 12 is probably the second best conferene with teams at 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, and 14 but their next team is at 41. SEC domination

In an interview they said a big part of it is how the SEC recruits. Said softball recruiting is more in line with football recruiting in other conferences. SEC teams really go after the kids they want. If the SEc recruits hard and has some of the better facilities in the country it makes sense the shift of SEC success is happening now.

Yeah I would have to think the fact the SEC has so many new facilities since it has only been a conference sport since 97 has to help. Alabama has invested a lot into softball.

11 of 13 teams in the tournament. Anyone else even close to that?

In the early days it was like the PAC invitational. I am thinking only 1 or 2 WCWS winners were east of the Mississippi. I think when UCLA (?) got busted for cheating it help break the PAC monopoly.

Big Ten and Pac 12 were second with 10 teams. Combined (5 each).

I'm being dead serious here, I don't think it's absurd to think that all eleven SEC teams in the postseason have a chance to win their regionals.

Only Michigan in 2005 and Alabama in 2012.

It would actually be possible for the SEC to win all 8 Super Regionals. If all 11 teams were to somehow win their regional there would be three all SEC Supers (Alabama/Mizzou, Tennessee/A&M, Miss State/LSU).

I posted details in the other thread, but the six hosts and Auburn at Minnesota are all favorites. LSU (at Arizona) and Mississippi State (at ULL) could both definitely win theirs.

South Carolina and A&M have the toughest tasks, at Florida State and at Oklahoma respectively.

Complete domination by the SEC. Even if you don't care about softball, you have to appreciate that SEC softball is like SEC football in its dominance. When the #22 team in the RPI doesn't even qualify for your conference tournament, you stacked!
