Any SEC team that makes it to the playoff will be pratically beat up while teams like Ohio Stae will be fully rested up from the pathetic schedule they play. This gives teams a huge edge.

I think we should do away with conferences and make all teams play a similar schedule.

I'd much rather do away with you. Nothing personal.

I think you have it backwards. That being said, the playoff system was instituted in significant part to dilute the SEC's power under the BCS.

Yea that seems like a much easier thing to do. Bama was given a month off. I don't know how much more rest you need. Were any major starters injured, besides the first and second string OSU quarterbacks?

We should just play every p5 team and have like a 60 game schedule, then it will be fair.

Larrythegolfer is running message boards. By the time the season gets here our eyeballs will have taken such a beating from reading his posts that we can't read anymore.

I think other message boards should have to put up with a Larrythegolfer.

perhaps you would prefer it if all the teams continued playing normally and then after Alabama wins the SECCG they are immediately awarded the national trophy and the playoff of the 4 other power conference champs will be awarded a national runner up trophy.

Funny, just a couple of years ago it was the SEC teams are battle tested.

The way Alabama had an advantage when they played LSU in 2011?

And yet SEC fans want to expand.

Conflicting logic

The biggest reason the SEC will have a hard time winning the NC is due to the two game playoff. In the past, the SEC had 30+ days to prepare for a team on Defense. The SEC speed on Defense and coaching made it hard for other Conferences to overcome. Now if an SEC Team wins the first round, they have less than 7 days to prepare for an Offense like OSU, Baylor, Oregon or TCU.

Yep, back then the tough schedule was the reason for the streak. Now that other conferences have won the past two titles, the tough schedule is suddenly detrimental.

not to worry, this will ALL BE corrected when we expand again and go to a 4 team conference playoff..

the winner of the SEC playoff will be the defacto champion of college football.. any subsequent game that season will be of no consequence.

It really won't. Other than Nick Saban's process biting him in the arse because he breeds his players to care more about the NFL than winning for their school, the SEC has benefited from a tougher schedule. The SEC was the only conference in the BCS era with a winning record in the BCS Title game, and it had a tougher road every time. You know more about your team the better teams you face. The team will have more exposure to how teams attack them, they won't be surprised by adversity, and they won't take their foot off the gas.

Alabama fans are such titty babies. Ohio State was better than you, even if they went through the SEC West. It's amazing the gumps only lost by 7. Did you see how their offensive line man handled Alabama? Elliot getting 230 yards on the ground had nothing to do with Alabama having to play in the SEC West, it just had to do with Alabama sucking.
