Have the revenues for next year been announced? I missed it somehow.

Haven't officially announced yet... Foley postponed the announcement.

LSU fans bitch more than any fanbase in the SEC. It apparently even runs over into pretty straightforward threads about the SEC revenue.

They play the victim. It's their only way to get attention lately as they've slid down the relevancy food chain to about 4th or 5th in the conference.

Normally they announce at the Destin meetings in the summer. This year they decided to announce in October when their fiscal year ends. So any day now.

Does anyone know how much the B1G is getting next year?
I heard by 2022 they will be decently north of 50 million but no idea what it is now

I remember not too long ago A&M was fighting to get 20 M along with OU & tu in the Big 12 while everyone else made less.

Put all the money in Florida, LSU will be too scared to get their cut and we'll all get more

Lighten up and take a joke.

They distributed a little less than the SEC last year, also right at 32 million.
When the SEC's terrible contract with CBS ends in 10 years or so, that going to cause a big jump in SEC distributions.

So basically it is just leap frog at this point between the B1G and SEC for top money
I think they sign again sooner so they will be highest. Then us. And so on and so on until the market falls apart completely

What are the sips getting for their contract for the longhorn network? Still 15 mil a year?

They don't get 15, they have to pay img 6-7 of that and deduct studio expenses too I recall

Good read
I had a thread about the recruiting side of the equation last week... They are shaken up over this.
quote:
So... I was listening to the Zone out of Austin this morning on the way to a meeting. Sean Adams & Chip Brown had Bob Przyblo on the show to discuss the whorns and sooners RR showdown on Saturday.
Przyblo said that as the host team this year the Sooners get to invite recruits. He said that this year many of the recruits did not accept invitations because they wanted to go to the A&M - Tenn game on Saturday. Keep in mind this was the best of the best recruits that sooners are courting. This has not gone unnoticed and has rattled both whorns and sooners coaches.
Evidently the first time that large numbers of recruits have turned down invitations from either whorns or sooners in Dallas for the RR shootout.
Ahhhh..... the drawing power of the SEC.

They never actually got 15 million per year for that contract. That 15 million was double counting a previous media distribution contract (I think with IMG) that had to get paid off. They get about 10 million per year, 5 million of which goes to academics.

Originally the number was reported to be around $15M or $300M over 15 years. Who knows. but that's what was initially reported.
I was listening to a sports program yesterday morning and they were talking about ESPN and how they are cutting costs across the board.
They said that ESPN directed the LHN to slash costs and go bare-boned. No more Longhorn Insider or All -Access. They used to have 12 to 15 cameras running around campus to different events and at practices. Now they are down to about 3.
Not much LHN produced content at all. Revenues were so bad they couldn't justify it anymore. ESPN put their foot down.

How much do we all lose of TV revenue because the UF/LSU game isn't being played?

There had to be something in the contract about the LHN meeting some level of viewership or subscriber base.
I guarantee that was never met. No one is going to pay more than pocket change to advertise on that channel
There is no way Texas is getting even close to that amount of money anymore.
