I am shocked Hurts was first when I saw who posted this thread. SHOCKED!

I assume the point of the stat is to account for passes to the receiver and how many are accurate and how many are not. I think an argument could be made some bats are the QBs fault, though, for sure. But they aren't because of bad accuracy, per se.

No Fitzgerald and no Fromm?
I thought those were the two most unstoppable quarterbacks in the country... that's what I've been reading for the last 65 hours here.

Going up 13 points seems pretty significant.

The jet sweeps aren't really part of the offense anymore.

Clearly completion percentage can be misleading relative to overall team success.

Franks will be good once he cleans a few things up. Excited to see what he can do this next year.

And that matters why? Batted passes happen. Throw aways happen. Etc.
Dropped passes, I can understand.. the rest is horse dung

Because the point of the stat is to take out factors that the QB doesn't have control of (drops, throw aways). It's to determine a QBs accuracy. Throw aways, WR drops, spikes, etc don't have anything to do with a QBs accuracy, so they are stripped away for this specific stat.
