SEC Players of the week

OFFENSE
Austin Allen, QB, Arkansas
•Led Arkansas to a touchdown in each of its last three possessions in double-overtime win at No. 12 TCU, delivering two TDs through the air before running in for the game-winning touchdown in the second overtime.
•All three touchdown passes and TD run came in the second half/overtime when he was 12-of-19 for 178 yards.
•With Arkansas trailing 28-20 with 1:59 left in the fourth quarter, Allen was a perfect 4-for-4 for 63 yards, including a 16-yard touchdown pass to Keon Hatcher. Allen then caught the game-tying two-point conversion from Hatcher to make it 28-28 and force overtime.
•Allen led Arkansas to its third consecutive road win over a ranked opponent with a 19-yard TD strike to Jeremy Sprinkle in the first overtime before running in for the game-winning touchdown in the second overtime.
•Allen is tied for the national lead with four touchdown passes in the second half and overtime this season.
•Through his first two career starts, Allen leads the SEC with a 63.8 completion percentage.

DEFENSE
Micah Abernathy, DB, Tennessee
•Making his second career start at free safety, sophomore Micah Abernathy recorded three solo tackles and set a new Tennessee record with three fumbles recovered.
•Abernathy's three fumble recoveries resulted in 14 points for the Vols. He recovered a fumble by Virginia Tech quarterback Jerod Evans at the VT 5-yard line at the beginning of the second quarter and the Vols scored on a TD pass from Joshua Dobbs to Jauan Jennings on the ensuing possession to pull to within 14-7. Abernathy's second fumble recovery was early in the fourth quarter and halted a 10-play, 45-yard Virginia Tech drive. On the Vols' following possession, Abernathy recovered a VT fumble while playing punt coverage, grabbing the loose ball at the VT 43-yard line. Tennessee turned his third fumble recovery into a 27-yard Dobbs TD run and a 38-17 Tennessee lead.
•Abernathy leads the nation as the only player in 2016 with three fumbles recovered.

SPECIAL TEAMS
Daniel Carlson, PK, Auburn
•Scored 21 points in Auburn's 51-14 win over Arkansas State, a new school single-game record for points scored by a kicker (1 TD, 3 FG, 6 PAT).
•Scored from 20-yards out on a fake field goal in the second quarter, the first TD of his career and first successful fake field goal for a TD by Auburn since 2000.
•It was the first TD scored by an Auburn kicker since Damon Duval in 1999 at LSU.
•Was perfect on the night converting three field goals, six PATs and all six kickoffs were touchbacks.
•Has converted on 22 of his last 23 field goals dating back to 2105 and is a perfect 104-for-104 in PATs during his Auburn career.

Tre'Davious White, DB/PR, LSU
•Had a spectacular 60-yard punt return for a touchdown to help spark LSU to a 34-13 win over Jacksonville State in the home opener for the Tigers.
•White fielded the punt on his own 40-yard line, was knocked backwards and ended up retreating to his 20-yard line where he gathered himself, then turned the corner and outran Jacksonville State defenders and zig-zagged his way to a touchdown.
•The play gave the Tigers a 27-10 lead with 20 seconds left before halftime.
•It was the third career punt return for a TD for White, which ranks No. 2 in school history.

FRESHMAN
Johnathon Johnson, WR/PR, Missouri
•Scored twice in dynamic fashion as he helped the Tigers to a 61-21 win over Eastern Michigan Saturday evening, as he took a punt 54 yards for a TD, and later hauled in his first career receiving TD for an 87-yard strike. He led Mizzou with 5 catches for 115 yards and the one score, while he averaged 37.0 yards on two punt returns (2-74) and also returned one kickoff for 21 yards.
•Johnson ended the game with 210 all-purpose yards, and according to Sports-Reference.com, he's the first FBS player with a punt return TD, a receiving TD and a 100-yard receiving game since 2001.
•Playing in his first-ever home game at Mizzou, Johnson scored the first TD of his career on the last play of the 1st quarter when he coralled a punt, and after muffing it, scooped it up and raced through blocks and across the field to outrace all pursuers for Mizzou's first punt return score since 2014. Later in the 2nd quarter, with MU nursing 20-7 lead, he took a quick screen, broke through the first line of defenders, and raced virtually untouched 87 yards for the catch-and-run score.

OFFENSIVE LINE
Dan Skipper, OL, Arkansas
•Blocked his sixth career kick with under 10 seconds left in the fourth quarter as No. 12 TCU attempted the game-winning field goal. Made his 36th straight start along the offensive line.
•Graded out a team-best 90 percent, helping pave the way for sophomore Rawleigh Williams to run for 137 yards while Austin Allen threw for 233 yards.
•Arkansas offense ran the ball 43 times during the team's win at No. 12 TCU, helping it finish with a six-minute edge in time of possession.
•Arkansas put together 400 yards of total offense in the win at No. 12 TCU and has now scored 40 or more points in seven of its last nine games.

DEFENSIVE LINE
A.J. Jefferson, DE, Mississippi State
•Jefferson has been dominant the first two weeks of the season, and he accounted for five tackles, one sack for a loss of eight on third down and two tackles for loss in MSU's win over South Carolina.
•He added another quarterback hurry. For the year, Jefferson leads the SEC in tackles for loss with six, a mark this is also third nationally.
•He is tied for the SEC lead in sacks with three. As a unit, the Bulldogs held the Gamecocks to 34 yards rushing, the fewest by an opponent against MSU since LSU had 30 on Sept. 26, 2009.
•Jefferson moved into sixth place in MSU career tackles for loss with now 30.5.
