Which team is going to exceed expectations and which will not live up to their hype.
Over: Kentucky. Looking at their schedule, outside of Florida there's nothing daunting early. I could see them run out to a 6-1 or 5-2 record going into a home game against Tennessee in late October. Wildcats could easily get to 8 wins and with some luck finish runner-up in the East.
Under: Auburn. Stidham hasn't played in awhile and the whole Barn has been bet on him. The schedule is really tough with three straight road games against LSU, Arkansas and A&M, followed by Georgia at home. Preseason No. 12 is way too high.

People bring them up every couple of years. They always say "Maybe Kentucky might do it this year".... Its about as realistic as OM making a playoff game this year.

Agreed. Also, I watched some highlights of theirs and their RB's are legit. I'd add OM due to the fact that they've been written off given their circumstances which won't have a lot to do with play on the field this year. I also think USCe is being underrated

Ole Miss is actually my bet to overachieve this year...not to the point where y'all make the playoff, but 4th or so in the west would be overachieving vs most of the predictions I've seen.

At first I wanted to get angry, but I think you're right talent-wise. As an LSU fan, we just love Danny because he takes care of the football, makes really heady plays. If he takes even a small step forward under Canada I think LSU will have a great season, although I worry about our receivers.

you're telling me a certain segment of your fanbase doesn't predict how some other team doesn't have a chance against you guys and how your team is going to kick said team's arse even though, on paper, the opposition looks more than capable of giving you a dog fight and/or beating you?
You did it last year with Florida. You're doing it pre-season this year with AU. Hell, if LSU starts out strong and Guice balls out early, there will be a boatload of threads about how this LSU team ends the streak, Guice exposes Bama's over-rated D, Canada has a plan to humble Saban, Aranda is going to show how over-rated X player is and make Y player beat LSU and you don't think he's good enough to do it, etc, etc.

To aspire to be a troll and fall severely short...I mean, that's one of those all or nothing propositions. I hate trolls...I'd never recommend anyone going that route...but if you are going to do it, you HAVE to be good at it...otherwise you are just a sad, miserable, annoying, humorless joke.

I think the season for UK will hinge on the South Carolina game in week 3. A road game that is a must win. If they get that, then I think they have a shot at 8+ wins and a chance to win the east.
Lose that game, and I think we are back to 6 wins and the liberty bowl again.
