This is strictly for this upcoming season. Not a ranking of past MLB careers or college careers. Guys like Kipnis who transferred to another school don't count. Because of the depth of starting pitching I put a few of those guys in my pen because. Let me know where I fricked up, I was surprised at the lack of 1B and OF and feel like I'm forgetting someone

I'd go to war with that squad. Tons of young studs in there.
Jimmy Nelson would probably be a fringe guy in that pitching group.

Bregman is going to bust out this year

I added bregs to my bench, it was dumb to leave him off. There's a lack of power on there but the rotation and pitching depth is ridiculous. Cutting guys like Smyly and Pomeranz out of the staff was hard and you could probably sub either one for Rogers as another bullpen lefty
Jimmy Nelson is another really promising starter that I left out

Hopefully in the future we can add AJ Reed to this list

At this point in their careers, Dansby Swanson over Bergman is hilarious

Not really. I'm an Astros fan and love Bregman but Swanson was great in his debut as well. You can make an argument either way and I pretty much went with Swanson because he's a full time SS

Bregman was worth 1.8 WAR in 47 games and Swanson 0.9 in 39, with Bregman in a loaded lineup and Swanson hitting around Chase Darnoud and Adonis Garcia.
Both are going to be really good players.

Bregman only isn't because of where he plays. He had a much better overall season last year. And I'm including the entire season, not just the short spell they were called up. Bregman was raking all year in AA and AAA. He just happened to have his one slump his first couple weeks in the majors. Swanson wasn't even close and was a call up to sell tickets on a shitty Braves team.

Neat, this is a major league team though

You should try following pro baseball this year, I'll make the same thread next year then you can try posting in it again

That's not true at all. This front office would rather play at Walton HS in front of 250 people and make no ticket money than jeopardize a prospect for a few bucks.
If that was the case we would have seen Albies, Newcomb, Minter, Swanson, hell anybody other than some of the guys we played in May and June.

He played in Fresno in the Pacific League, offensive stat capital of the world. Swanson played in the least friendly ballpark in the minor leagues in Jackson.

The dude I'm most excited about in spring training is Aggie AJ Minter.
Holy hell is he going to be something.

He's fun to watch. Hopefully his arm holds up because I think he's a future closer if it does

His numbers last year were a cheat code.

He has some Billy Wagner in him. He's a couple inches taller and arm slot is a little higher but he has similar stuff and stocky build

If the squad needed a dickhead component we could always pick up The Papelboner

Wacha if he can get his arm right.

Daniel Mengden & Ross Stripling both made it to the show last year. Neither were great, but they each made 14 starts. Ross had more success with the Dodgers, but DM has that stache.
