Even more impressive when you realize that it is technically an unbalanced tie-in...
The team from the big12 usually finishes 1-2 spots higher in conference than the team in the SEC. I think it's actually Big12 #2 vs SEC #3/#4 -- where the Cotton usually takes a team from the west while the Outback takes a team from the east and they essentially share the pick.

Outside of Mizzou and Arkansas, who would even remember the teams in the Cotton Bowl that year?
Disregarding Porker Forker, I am starting to warm up to a Mizzou/Arkansas rivalry.
