Offensive Candidates
- WR Calvin Ridley (BAMA) - 67 catches, 791 yards, 5 TD, 11.8 YPC
- WR Christian Kirk (A&M) - 70 catches, 925 yards, 6 TD, 13.2 YPC, 24.4 yds per punt return, 2 TD
- WR Antonio Callaway (UF) - 29 catches, 557 yards, 4 TD, 19.2 YPC, 14.4 yds per punt return, 1 TD
- WR Terry Godwin (UGA) - 31 catches, 345 yards, 1 TD, 11.1 YPC
- RB Derrius Guice (LSU) - 47 carries, 397 yards, 3 TD, 21.94 avg kickoff returns
I assume there are some linemen that could be nominated. No freshman running back had more than 400 yards rushing in the SEC this year. No other receivers were really anywhere close. No freshmen QB's really played well (except for roids).
Defensive Candidates
- LB Dre Greenlaw (ARK) - 44 solo tkl, 93 ovr tkl, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble
- DB Brandon Bryant (MSU) - 42 solo tkl, 57 ovr tkl, 2 sacks, 2 INTs
- LB Walter Brady (MIZZOU) - 20 solo tkl, 39 ovr tkl, 7 sacks
- DE Arden Key (LSU) - 18 solo tkl, 39 ovr tkl, 5 sacks
- DE CeCe Jefferson (UF) - 14.5 solo tkl, 22.5 ovrl tkl, 3.5 sacks, 8.5 TFL, 1 PBU, 1 forced fumble
- DB Minkah Fitzpatrick (BAMA) - 26 solo tkl, 40 ovrl tkl, 2 sacks, 2 INT, 8 PBU, 3 TD
- DB Marlon Humphrey (BAMA) - 29 solo tkl, 37 ovl tkl, 2 INT, 2 forced fumbles, 5 PBU
- DB Carlton Davis (AUB) - 32 solo tkl, 45 ovl tkl, 3 INT, 1 forced fumble, 8 PBU
- DB Kevin Toliver II (LSU) - 25 solo tkl, 35 ovl tkl, 1 INT, 1 TFL, 3 PBU
Hard to really judge defenders, I am sure there are some other guys who deserve consideration.

I'd fix your title to include "Freshman" after SEC. A little confusing right now.

Minkah Fitzpatrick had a hell of a year, especially considering how deep Bama's secondary talent is.

Add Terry Beckner for defense. Elite run stopper.

Kirk didn't do too much offensively against the better defenses of the league

Offense - I seriously have no idea outside of receivers, especially QB and RB. Not a lot of contributions there.

God I haven't heard Kirk's name in a while. Swear to god I forgot about him

LSU offense:
Derrius Guice - Most rushing yards by any freshman. Highest YPC in the conference, but only 47 carries. Tied for 1st in rushing TDs for freshman (3)
LSU defense:
Kevin Toliver - 30 Total Tackles. 3 PBU. 1 INT.
Stats weren't great, but he didn't get tested too often. Was surprisingly solid for a TF.
Donte Jackson - 22 Total tackles. 1 INT.
Had a very good freshman year. Saw time on offense, defense and special teams. Will be a stud.

Derrius Guice has had a great season falling behind Fournette.

It's a crime if LB Darrin Kirkland Jr. (UT of course) isn't on there. He had 60 tackles, 5 TFL, 2 sacks, 5 QB hurries, 2 pass deflections, 1 INT and 1 FR.
My offensive candidate would be Alvin Kamara but he isn't technically a freshman.

Kirk and Fitzpatrick, IMO
Brady has a legit case too.
