SEC Football Dominance: A Team Effort Over Time

The SEC has a rich tradition as we all know. What's great is that just about all of the teams have contributed to it over the years. Whether it was the General, the Bear, Mcgugin, Dietzel, etc., the SEC has been a factor on the National Level. Here is a list of each of our member school's last national championship in football.
Alabama 2012
Arkansas 1964
Auburn 2010
Florida 2008
Georgia 1980
Kentucky 1950
LSU 2007
Mississippi State pending
Missouri 1960 (unclaimed)
Ole Miss 1962
South Carolina pending
Tennessee 1998
Texas A&M 1995
Vanderbilt 1922 (unclaimed)
It is amazing the historical balance the conference has managed to maintain. I suspect the SEC will get back to the top of the mountain this year.

It was a special moment to watch the selection of LSU and watching the team's reaction. The beatdown that followed was triumphant. I'll never forget those two championships. I'm very lucky to have experienced those as a fan. Hopefully when I'm actually at LSU we can get a few more.
