LSU and ole miss had almost identical seasons. One program wanted to fire a successful coach and the other is celebrating like they have reached new heights. Very telling.

LSU, Moo State, and UT are all on par in terms of whether each program has had a 10 win regular season and made it to the SECCG. How does OM stand in this regard?

LSUs biggest problem is bama. LSU has a prostyle offense and when the play bama, they are going against bamas biggest strength and trying to beat bama at their own game. And considering bama has significantly more talent than LSU or anyone else makes that very difficult.
Teams like Piss and AU and even AtM have had more success beating bama recently and considering one has to win the west first, knocking bama off head to head is of much importance considering bama hasn't lost 2 sec games in 5 years.
