To me, Auburn and Texas A&M have the most pleasant sounding fight songs in the SEC. Alabama is a close 3rd. None of the rest really stand out.

Played this in the background. The ones I recognize as distinctive without looking besides Arkansas are:

Alabama
Auburn
MsState
TAMU.

The rest are interchangeable to me.

Arkansas Fight is impossibly upbeat and fast compared to most others.

I know too many fight songs from too many schools due to playing a lot of NCAA when I was younger.

I like ours, but today we just use the chorus, wish we'd go back to using the full fight song.

This is the only version I could find:

The full fight song contains a few bars of "Dixie".

It also includes the line "For Dixie's rightly proud of you", but I've heard versions where they just replace it with Florida and it sounds fine.

It's just a bit odd now because Meyer started having the team sing the fight song in addition to the alma mater with the fans following suit, and the lyrics of the chorus don't make a ton of sense on their own.

Funny thing is my favorite song of ours isn't even our fight song (The Noble Men of Kyle).

One of my best memories of Coach Dietzel is sitting down with him, just him and me, and him telling me the story about how he came up with our fight song - it's a good story. He left his mark on our program in so many good ways.

I loved that man ... one of the greatest SEC/football men in my lifetime. If anyone had a basket full of credits when they got to heaven it was that man. I dunno ... listening to the fight song reminded me of him. God Bless him - he's missed.

I really wish there were more live versions of figh songs on YouTube. Most of those are pretty outdated and have bad quality. Most fight songs sound much better live.

Also I know them all by heart.

Why does Missouri's sound like the military song "It's a Long Way to Tipperary"?

You are in the minority, RIP, Pepsodent.

The fight song should be called the "Dietzel Dirge."

Because we disagree does not mean you aren't still the best Gamecock poster I have come across in my 15 years on the net. Period!

Are entire geographic regions now considered off limits in PC 2016? I mean I guess Ican see the argument for us having to censor "all the darkies are gay" from "My Old Kentucky Home" even though dark wasn't intended as a pejorative term and gay was intended as happy in the song's context, but now we're censoring Dixie?
