As a whole, do the SEC have the biggest and most athletic Defensive lines ever this year? On the Dawgs 2 deep only one Dlineman is under 6'4 (Michail Carter who is 6'3) The line is not just big but most were highly rated out of High School. I don't think our Dline have ever been this big on the 2 deep. I think LSU and Bama's Dline is bigger.

Raekwon Davis blows the average height up for Alabama. He's 6-7.

Generally 6-3 297 for Alabama. Heaviest at 308. Alabama has slimmed way down on the DL. But still don't have light rush ends. Lightest is 272.

Our D-Line is going to be pretty young this year with a lot of inexperience. Not sure what to expect really.

Simmons will be the best DT in the country and incoming juco Montez Sweat is also a beast. We will be unstoppable up front.

the starting defensive line at Ole Miss has a average star rating of 4.1...so if there are 31 teams with a better defensive line, then we obviously didn't cheat correctly

Last time I checked stars didn't guarantee a solid unit. You also have to develop the players, just my thought

Yes. Because the DL's should be ranked by stars out of high school over performance at the collegiate level.

Star rankings and production aren't the same thing.

Not close. Ed Oliver and Christian Wilkins are both much better than Simmons at this point. And those 2 were without even thinking much about great DTs.

But it sure helps getting them on campus college ready.

We have some big ole boys as well. Derick Brown is massive (6'5" 316), but can move. Everyone will know Nick Coe's name by season's end.

You've also got to have depth. You're better off with a solid 8 as opposed to 2-3 star DLs with no depth.

the Rebels defensive line was a solid unit last year, and performed well...the complete lack of linebacker play totally negated our strength up front. we were nekkid behind the line of scrimmage with linebacker and the secondary....thanks a lot, leo.

55-20 boss says your DL sucks. go look at our rushing yards on you. We were to the second level before your DL was out of their 3 point stance... And every SEC team has multiple 6'5 300 pound guys. it is all about technique and leverage at this level
