SEC Coaches That Might Be Fired Or Leave

Interesting article discussing potential coaching changes after this season. As far as SEC programs that might fire their coach they listed two:
USC got a mention for the fact that Spurrier might retire, UGA got a mention that Richt would be on a hot seat at any major program that really gave a crap about football, but in their opinion:

Vanderbilt: Has any program in major college football fallen faster than Vanderbilt over the past two years? The Commodores went 9-4 in 2013 before crashing to 3-9 in Derek Mason's debut season. Temple beat Vandy 37-7 to open last year and things only got worse. If Mason's staff shakeup doesn't produce results, he could be gone.

LSU: You can't argue with Les Miles's 103-29 record (54-24 SEC). But the combination of persistent off-field issues and a lack of quarterback development still nag at Miles. Someone has to finish last in the SEC West. If it's LSU, then the off-field issues like the June arrests of four players will be amplified. LSU power brokers can't love the seemingly annual return of a player in serious legal limbo. Miles's $15 million buyout if he's fired before Dec. 31 is big, but it isn't a number that would make an SEC powerhouse like LSU flinch.

But would the Bulldogs ever fire Richt? Probably not.

If Bert leaves, does Gus go back home?

I think Spurrier retiring is quite possible.

+1
I think even Mason has this year and next season to get something going. It's Vanderbilt, for frick's sake.

Vandy's coach inherited a very young team. They have 19 starters returning.

If he hasn't grown as a coach at all from last year, he gone. Dude was as overmatched as anyone in the conference. It was really shocking. When he was hired it looked like a good move. He just wasn't what people thought.

What (possibly) available jobs would represent a better job?
Southern Cal. Who else?

Mason said he over-estimated how good his team was going to be last year. I did the same. I thought they were going to be terrible, and they were still worse than I imagined.

wow. that is a massive buyout. I can't imagine it "not making an SEC powerhouse" flinch. Not saying LSU couldn't do it, but it will make you flinch for sure.
When Bama let Shula go, Mal Moore started a "pass the hat" campaign on that Sunday night to cover his $4M buyout. By that Friday he had $16M in contributions committed. Bama had enough to cover Shula's buyout (though it was reduced by his salary off-set) AND pay for Saban for his first 4 years.

He may not be the right man for the job, but I don't think firing a coach for not having success after two years at VANDERBILT is very prudent.

Vandy if they go win less than four games.
Spurrier will probably retire if he has an abysmal year.
Florida may can their coach if they win less games than last year, though he may get a second year to redeem himself.

It was like a combination of Art Shell, Rod Rust, Raheem Morris, and Rod Marinelli was on the sidelines for the Dores. That guy was remarkably bad.

WTF? Who fires a first year coach that is handed a pretty lackluster roster?

My bad, I thought that was obvious. Will edit OP.
