Likely?

I don't think they really have a choice. They're contractually obliged to take the second best SEC team even if they're mediocre.
If they could, they should say frick that and take both Western Michigan and Oklahoma.

UK likely moves up to the Music City or Liberty.

We don't deserve a bowl, but that means Tennessee doesn't deserve to have a football program

Why, can't two SEC teams play each other?
Posted on 11/26/16 at 11:26 pm to DuncanIdaho
We are assured a win that way

It's because he was too giddy posting this

LSU- Sugar
To realize he had Vandy playing UGA in Birmingham.
Two east teams playing each other in a useless bowl? I don't think so.

There is no way I see a #13 Auburn at 8-4 getting left out of the Sugar Bowl for an unranked LSU at 7-4 when Auburn won the head to head.
I don't see Auburn dropping low enough after losing to Alabama for LSU to jump them after beating an unranked A&M. I get LSU lost to Auburn while Les was coach but that Florida game is a killer considering how bad Florida is and that it was at home.
I think it will badly hurt attendance, but I see Auburn in the Sugar Bowl against Michigan.

Big XII Champ.
It'll be SEC #2 (assuming Alabama wins against UF) versus Oklahoma/Oklahoma State.

Auburn gets the sugar.
Doesn't matter. It's a shame that's the best we can do.
Whomever it is.

The 2nd highest ranked SEC team in the playoffs ranking will get the Sugar Bowl bid. I think people are applying the same logic of when LSU loss to Bama more closely, they dropped from #13 to #24. If that model holds, LSU with the win on the road at A&M will get them back into the rankings. Too many team from 15 - 25 loss this weekend for them to not jump back in, though all those losses may help Auburn as well. Florida will lose the championship game next week, all but dropping them out completely.
We'll have to see how the rankings fall when the committee releases their new positioning.
