Nah, the Big East has too many mediocre teams in football. Pretty much every SEC basketball team out of the top four is miserable.

It has been for awhile with a few exceptions. No consistent contenders.

Last year UK and UT got the Elite 8 right? I remember UT and Vandy having a good run the same year i think in 2007.

Fwiw there are six sec bball teams with tourney hopes this year, not four. Uk, ut, uf, uga, vandy, and msu should all make it

As a whole, I don't think the SEC has been good since the early 2000's. During that time the East and West had good teams.
In 2000, there was a 4 way tie for conference champion. I wish it would return to that.

Damn, I would hate to see what LSU would do to my alma mater, Nicholls. If they were to play of course!
