Looks like a decent round of games for the day.

Alabama @ Dayton - 12:00
Colorado @ Auburn - 2:00
Mizzou @ Xavier - 5:30
#2 Kentucky @ #5 Duke - 6:30

Dayton should be a good measuring stick for Avery since they usually have a solid squad. Colorado lost by 6 to #7 Iowa State. And Xavier squeaked one out over Miami (OH). Should be a good night to see where everyone stands at this point.

Not too confident. We just don't have any guys who can create their own shots consistently. Gonna be a long year.

I think they've looked better than last season. At this point in the season they had dropped one to UMKC. I don't think they'll be world beaters but they'll be better IMO.

False. We are somehow lightyears better this season. No idea how, but a .500 season seems realistic.

Ummm, no.

First, that's hardly possible. Secondly we've looked much better so far this year. We beat a tournament team in Wofford our first game and handled the Umes just as we should have.

Tonight will be a good test.

It's not going to be a GREAT year, but I think we'll do better than most think. Wish I wasn't at work so I could watch the game. Hopefully I can listen online.

Lets Go Flyers

Not sure AU will keep it close in the second, but will be a good measuring stick

I like the way we played in game 1 and love the development of Taylor, but that was a terrible terrible Kennesaw team. I think we will compete, and hopefully we will get better, but we just aren't talented enough offensively to win against good teams on the road.

I was at the Duke game on Saturday. They have a solid squad. Jones can stroke the 3. Allen is damn good. Plumlee can effect the game in a big way on defense. But be glad you face them early because I don't think anyone is going to want to deal with Brandon Ingram later in the year. That kid has so much potential.

I mean, we're going to have to deal with them later as well.

I feel good with what we've got. Not that it necessarily equates into a win tonight. Like I said in another thread, Poythress isn't quite 100% yet and there's some inconsistency from the freshman (as usual).

It'll be a good game to see if Poythress can get aggressive and get past that mental injury hurdle. Because he's going to get pushed around.

I think your perception is tainted from watching too much Anthony Grant offense. Like I said, I don't think the team will be great, but the talent level isn't as bad as you think.

Will be watching Bama & Dayton. Dayton comes to Memorial after the Maui Invitational in early December.

As Pearl said, Colorado beat AU by 5 touchdowns last year. Hopefully AU can hang in there. I expect it to be a close one.

I seriously hope you guys beat Duke. I was trying to remember the last time you beat them. Was it the comeback in the 1998 NCAA's?

Yep. We've lost 3 in a row to them since.
